Thank you and well done t10. This is a great step towards a better experince for the more serious player. If t10 can build on this while keeping it’s mass appeal they will have the perfect product imo.

Again thank you t10

Sounds promising…

In my only online session with FM6 I had one player parked sideways on the start finish line who speared me a the start of the second lap then “disappeared”…

It’s cool and all, but I can’t help thinking that fixing Vote To Kick could have enhanced the experience of a thousand times more players than this will.

Just sayin…

Could somebody check if the new Spectate options are available in Saved Replays? I like the look of them (I made a few threads in the past about features like this) but would also like to be able to re-watch races I competed in, with this additional information.

It looks to me like they’re laying the foundations for Forza Motorsport 7 with updates like this. Who knows, maybe that title will have a heavy eSports focus and robust Public Multiplayer tools as a side benefit.

Anything, but penalties and visible vote to kick system…

Hear hear.

highly doubt this is ever coming back thanks to the abuse by some.

thanks for the info, PJ- I was trying to upload some vinyls and it kept failing, found out I needed an update- wasn’t sure what it included.

Didn’t expect any updates like this anymore for FM6… kudos to T10.

+1. I think this is how T10 should operate to extend the life cycles of their games

I am not too sure about the manual grid order thing. I am wondering if it would be unfair in a way because the host has the ability to place the grid order. I would think it would be an advantage to be the host. I would have rather had the vote to kick option, rather than the manual grid selection. A step in the right direction though.

this feature may only be use in private lobbies, i don’t se how this will work in a public lobby. Or i could be wrong.

From what I read, yes private lobbies. But the thing is, If I am the host, who do you think I will place up front. So in other words the only fair way would be qualy every race.

This feature will likely be most used by leagues like tora and orl etc, so you no longer need to add an extra lap to a race just to get the grid ordered correctly.
Doing this manually be letting each player drive to his grid slot, often results in damaged cars, causing more delays to the start of a race because players need to take pit stops.

No, from what I read the host can pick the order before the race. Then when he starts the race the cars are already placed in that order. You will have to qualy every race, in order for it to be a fair grid placement.

yes, thats correct. But only now that we have the update.

Before the update, we had to add an extra lap to a race, then each driver had to move to his grid spot, in which he qualified in.

Right, but you still have to qualify. How else are you going to pick the order. Roll dice.

  1. Lots of series have one qualifying and then two races per session. First race grid is based on qualifying (which is actually a race, because Forza), then 2nd race grid is reverse finish order from 1st race. This new feature allows these to be done more easily and doesn’t require a race to follow straight on from a qualifying session with no one dropping out of the lobby.

  2. Lots of series have more than 1 lobby of cars, so you have 2 or more qualifying lobbies and then have to mix the lobbies up for the races. Only way to do that previously was to use a set-up lap to get everyone in position.

unfortunately there’s no qualifying sessions per say, yes the extra 2 or 3 laps will have to be performed in order to set the grid… you’re correct however its a time saver for the host to call out one by one in order to set the grid…

This can only be a good thing. I’ve competed in club races where everyone runs a qualifying race beforehand. The manual grid enables the host to put everyone where they belong from qualifying or series points if they desire.
