Forza Monthly livestream Nov. 6 | American Automotive (Series 27 ) preview

Which is actually a 50% reduction from the two cars I really liked in FH4. Unfortunately I poured out a lot of good money for those two cars. This one didn’t cost me a dime to miss out on.

The pack with the Porsche 718 GT4 RS has some issues of which one was introduced with the last update.

The mapping of the KTM is also subpar with skewed/stretched and overlapping parts. Which shows that they aren’t able to listen and learn. That said the three mentioned cars are ok and perform well. The 718 also has a nice sound. I haven’t tested the fourth car of the pack as I’m not really interested in it.

So far I’ve only bought this pack and the Italian one. The first and the US one don’t have any cars that interest me. Except for the new van maybe but I’m not buying a pack for a single car.

I assume you’re talking about the Donkervoort? The brand is actually a thing. Maybe comparable to Wiesmann or Spyker at least when it comes exclusiveness. But I also don’t have any connection to it and have never driven it so far.

It’s really silly that they screw that up of all things. I mean, that would take probably a minute of googling to fix.

Time to review the new Z06.

Pros:

  • it’s essentially a better-handling C8 Stingray if you’re going for a “purist” build (lack of top speed is a shame but it isn’t really a deal-breaker for most circuits), maybe a better E-Ray if you AWD swap it? Haven’t tested that yet (love these new vettes coming with 345 rear tire width stock)
  • somehow more manageable at low gears than the E-Ray despite being RWD
  • looks better than either car (subjective)

Cons:

  • They butchered the sound
  • No option to remove the Z07 package parts, or convert it into a base model Z06
  • They butchered the sound
  • No aero tuning on the stock parts (despite the E-Ray having those exact same parts have that option)
  • They butchered the sound
  • No other aero options besides the ugly Forza Aero (double canards I get, but double splitters? One on top of the other? Really?)
  • Did I mention they butchered the sound? Because they did. And it sucks.

That all in the spirit of Horizon. Did you send them a Thank You?

I am happy to see lots of new cars, but I hate making them 40pts prizes.
Hey PGG, why don’t you stop giving us cheap autoshow cars that no one wants at the Seasonal Championships and Forzathon Shop and put the prizes and store space at these events to better use for more sought after content. Like FH4.

Well, I guess PGG is forced by Microsoft to make these choices for more “user engagement” anyway…

Don’t take this too seriously  Also, I suspect you wanted to write top 250, but ate zero.
Anyway
When I saw your post 2 days ago, it inspired me to make some runs in D class Titan. Plan was to use Belvedere, but it starts in C class :frowning: Used Jeep Gladiator instead . Went pretty well, still few seconds left in it.
Tomorrow will probably test Belvedere in C class.
Thank you for giving me something to do

Beat you to it Zip, Offroads sadly put the Belvedere well into B class straight away, it’s alright for B CC but that’s as far as I’d go, I’m sure you’ll be able to put together a better build than what I have though.

Superb time with the Gladiator by the way, got the notification in-game + messaged geist about it before you posted this.

Thankfully automatic is a bit slower on Titan, so I think I will get away with my time + I hope he will forget to upgrade rear tire profile (which gave me 7PI to play with) and will use the same tune that we was using on El Descenso :upside_down_face:

I stand corrected on the Belevedere, tossed out my tune and used PROHA1832’s instead, hard work but just about squeezed it into the top 100 of Festival CC, level with Rayne in a '73 Range Rover.

More proof I am not a tuner at all lol.

Stock/street suspension seems a better option for it.

I tested the Belvedere stock and have to say it was quite enjoyable. The only thing that puzzles me is that it can go 250 km/h (155 mph) stock. It would presumably only reach that speed if you throw it out off an airplane in reality.

Yep, it has outstandingly low drag for a Classic Muscle. It’s one of the best non-powerbuild, no-aero Classic Muscles at B700 road.
Level 3 rear tire profile increases the final drive perfectly for the street gearbox. This saves around 4 PI.

I can’t play til tomorrow, post a screenshot of the leaderboard! :sunglasses::crossed_swords:

A good portion of the pre-66 muscle cars in-game have this problem too.

I haven’t noticed or better tested it but would assume it’s done for balancing reasons. Some cars do obviously “overperform”. The Tsuru being the latest example.

AWD, stock tires, no aero, V8 swap, no weight reduction. Can’t really decide how to set gears.
Should do sub 9 with more runs, but that would be still like 30sec off from WR.
Not to mention that I need a break. Yesterday it took me 3 runs to set that D class time (where first 2 was basically test runs), but this took me way more time.
I’m leaving B class for tomorrow.

I liked the Belvedere in B class much more.

top 12 and that Quattro (#21) are not legit times
That is still around 15sec behind WR, but at least felt competetive. I wish I had made one less mistake, so I would be in #24 place. No particular reason
In C class V8 swap was better, but in B stock engine worked better for me. So my B class setup is: AWD, no aero, street weight reduction (probably can go without, that is only 44kg in almost 1800kg car), stock susp, stock engine + racing camshafts + racing centri charger.
Later will try to make lighter version + I see LogikJ have shared new dirt tune, so will have something to compare.
Can share that one if anyone wants to try, but a) I’m still not very happy with gear ratios, b) that tune will probably only work on Titan (for dirt I would probably go with lighter version, although handling didn’t felt that bad offroad).
