Forza Mini-Endurance Series (S800) -- Any Interest? All Skill Levels Welcome!

Hey guys, so lately I’ve been testing out some cars to see if I could create a series based loosely around the Blancpain Endurance Series. If there is some interest I’d be more than happy to get it up and running. I’ll get right to it and if enough interest is generated, then I will get started on creating a forum for us to communicate on and so on…

Rules

  • All skill levels are welcome, but you MUST drive cleanly at all times
  • Simulation Damage (includes Tyre Wear)
  • Assists: Optional
  • Transmission: Automatic or Manual
  • Corner cutting will absolutely not be tolerated. You are allowed to roll over the curbs (i.e. Turns 14/15 on Catalunya)
  • Ramming will absolutely not be tolerated, unintentional contact is inevitable. Hopefully simulation damage will help negate the large majority of contact as it will negatively affect both drivers greatly

Cars
2008 Aston Martin DBS
2013 Audi R8 V10 FSI Quattro
2009 Ferrari F458 Italia
2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera
2011 McLaren MP4-12C
2011 Mercedes SLS AMG
2012 Nissan GTR Black Edition
2011 Ruf Rt 12 S

Note: There will be a maximum of 2 of each car

Tunes & Liveries

Tunes: All cars will be a maximum PI of S800 and a minimum of S790. Rather than have locked builds for each car, I think it would be fun to reward some of the tuners as well. Obviously there will be guidelines for BHP, Weight, and Stats. Those are still being determined.

Liveries: A racing livery is required. There are many available liveries from the Blancpain Endurance Series and FIA GT. It is recommended that drivers use one of these liveries. If you would like to make your own, that is absolutely encouraged! The only requirement for liveries is that they carry a number plate and at least one sponsorship.

Tracks

Week 1: Silverstone GP Full (1 Hour)
Week 2: Catalunya GP Full (1 Hour)
Week 3: Yas Marina GP Full (1 Hour)
Week 4: Spa (1.5 Hours)

Points
1st: 40 Points
2nd: 30 Points
3rd: 25 Points
4th: 20 Points
5th: 16 Points
6th: 12 Points
7th: 10 Points
8th: 8 Points
9th: 6 Points
10th: 5 Points
11th: 4 Points
12th: 3 Points
13th: 2 Points
14th: 1 Point
15th: 1 Point
16th: 1 Point

Schedule
To be determined. This will depend primarily on availability of racers. We will want to have as many racers as possible for each race. Right now I am thinking that 12:00PM EST on Sundays will be ideal so that both American and European Drivers will be able to compete. If you miss a race, you will be awarded the minimum number of points.

Qualifying

There will be a 2 Lap (3 Total Laps) Qualifying Session before each race with all cars racing as ghosts. Only clean laps will be allowed. Example: If there are 9 clean laps and 7 Dirty Laps, regardless of time, the 9 clean laps will be awarded the top 9 spots

Entrants

  1. GT: do0o0obz – Car: #64 Ruf Rt 12 S
  2. GT: mF aJaay – Car: #7 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera
  3. GT: Racing1egend83 – Car: #3 Ferrari F458 Italia
  4. GT: Jae514 – Car: #34 Nissan GTR Black Edition
  5. GT: RecklessS13 – Car: TBD
  6. GT: cronos2807 – Car: #81 Ferrari F458 Italia

If you are interested, please post your GT and an e-mail which you can be reached in the comments. Please also post which car and livery/number you will be using. If you can, please post a picture of the livery you will be using as well! Please remember that there will be a maximum of 2 of each car.

Hopefully there will be enough interest to get this up and running!

Hi is be interested in this I’m currently looking for an A or S class league series.
Just a few questions.
. Are the car negotiable? As I have none of them cars nor do they really appeal to me.
. What day will the race and qualifying be on?
. What time zone are you in?
Thanks for taking the time to read…

  • The cars are not negotiable, these are the cars that compete in the Blancpain Endurance Series (minus the Z4, which at S800 just isn’t quick enough to keep up in my experience)
  • Racing and qualifying will most likely take place on Sundays, though I would open to Saturdays as well.
  • I am in Pacific Standard Time (California)

hi im interested GT- mF AJaay Car= the Gallardo. Number = 7

Awesome, I’ve added you to the list and I’ll add you on XBL later today. Please be patient as I’d like to get an absolute minimum of 10-12 drivers, preferably a full 16 driver grid. If you have any interested friends let me know!

id be interested for sure as long as their was a rule that included at least 1 pit stop per event and events lasted 30 mins at least maybe someone could create a points table as well and the races could be across the world not just Europe and only real tracks please

I can assure you that with simulation damage (i.e. Tire Wear) and 1 hour races that there will be a need for pit stops. There is a points table in the original post. If the Mini-Series goes well I’d be happy to consider a longer series with more tracks!

Racing1egend83 = #3 Ferrari 458

I am interested.
Ill be using the Nissan 2013 black edition. Number 35. (This was in the race)
Gt: Jae514
How will you organize the grid. Ascending or descending times?
Wasnt there a corvette zr1 in a couple if those races as well?

Descending. In a 1 hour race the fastest and most consistent drivers will make their way to the top. No use in doing ascending and creating chaos within the first few laps.

I’m interested.

Which car?

Will it be a standing start or rolling with a pace car?

Actually still trying to decide on this myself. A rolling start obviously creates less Turn 1 chaos, but given that they are endurance races I’m also hopeful that drivers will realize they do not need to make any type of aggressive move in Turn 1 anyway. Once we are getting closer to a full grid, I’d be happy to get more opinions on it.

I would be down if the race start on 1:00PM eastert time instead of 12:00PM

Ferrari 458 italia #81

I’m interested.
