With a lot of people leaving corporate social media platforms like meta (facebook, instragram, threads,) twitter etc because of their change in policy regarding the acceptance of hate speech and removal of diversity protections, it would be nice if Forza could have an official presence on Mastodon or Bluesky where players can follow news and updates without needing an account on platforms that have become unsafe for certain members of the forza community

On bluesky there is already a FH5 mirror account of the official twitter account, but it would be great if they can make some official Forza accounts for FM and FH5/FH6.

Interestingly, there does seem to be official Foza Horizon and Motorsport accounts on bluesky but with no posts
There is an official xbox account there and quite a few of current and former Forza devs are active there too so hopefully Forza will use their official accounts
The unofficial mirror hasn’t been updated in 9 days so may be abandoned

I recognize that Bluesky seems to be more popular than Mastodon, but I’ve settled on Mastodon, so that’s got my vote. I’d be thrilled to see Forza on either platform, though.

I am definitely more focused on mastodon than bluesky because I do think bluesky will become problematic with its dubious moderation, venture-capital dependence, lack of decentralisation and the move to share user info with AI companies but at this point, getting content on platforms outside of the big, hate-filled social media platforms is a win
