Forza Horizon 7, location suggestion

Im tellin you, dude, you dont want the sand, especially not for the length of time these games last for nowadays… go play FH3 or FH5, itll be just like what you want except with a bonus jungle section

Hello Forza team,
I think Morocco would be an amazing location for Forza Horizon 7.
It has huge variety in one country:
Sahara Desert dunes for off-road racing
Atlas Mountains with great drifting roads
Coastal highways for fast cruising
Cities like Marrakesh, Casablanca, and Tangier for street racing
It would bring a fresh and unique setting compared to past Horizon games, with a mix of desert, mountains, and cities all in one map.
I think Morocco would make FH7 one of the most interesting and diverse Horizon games ever.
Thanks for reading.

Hallo forza.

Locatie: Duitsland :germany:

Forza horizon 7 should be in Japan. Japan has been one of the most requested locations in the history of the Forza Horizon franchise, and for good reason. Few countries offer the same combination of automotive culture, diverse geography, iconic roads, densely packed cities, and visual variety that would make an open-world racing game feel fresh and exciting. A Forza Horizon set in Japan could deliver the most varied driving experience the series has ever seen.

One of the strongest arguments for Japan is its legendary car culture. Japan is the birthplace of some of the most beloved performance cars ever made, including the Nissan GT-R, Toyota Supra, Mazda RX-7, Honda NSX, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, and Subaru WRX STI. These vehicles are icons not only within Japan but across the global automotive community. A Horizon Festival taking place in Japan would feel like a celebration of automotive history, with players driving the very roads that inspired many of these legendary machines.

The road variety in Japan is another major advantage. The country contains winding mountain passes known as “touge” roads, which are famous among driving enthusiasts. These roads feature tight corners, steep elevation changes, and technical layouts that would create some of the most engaging driving experiences in the franchise. Players could drift through mountain roads inspired by locations such as Hakone, Mount Haruna, and Irohazaka while enjoying breathtaking scenery.

Beyond the mountains, Japan also offers extensive highway systems that would be perfect for high-speed racing. Long stretches of expressway could recreate the feeling of underground street racing culture, allowing players to push hypercars and heavily modified vehicles to their limits. The contrast between technical mountain driving and flat-out highway racing would create enormous gameplay variety.

Japan’s cities would also bring something unique to the series. Neon-lit urban districts filled with skyscrapers, elevated highways, busy intersections, and dense architecture would create a vibrant atmosphere unlike previous Horizon games. Driving through a city inspired by Tokyo at night, with reflections from neon signs illuminating the streets, could become one of the most visually memorable experiences in the franchise.

A Japanese map would also provide incredible environmental diversity. Players could explore:

  • Snow-covered mountain regions in the north.

  • Dense bamboo forests and countryside roads.

  • Modern metropolitan cities.

  • Coastal highways overlooking the ocean.

  • Traditional villages and shrines.

  • Volcanic regions surrounding Mount Fuji.

  • Cherry blossom-lined roads during spring.

This diversity would make every region of the map feel distinct and worth exploring.

Seasonal changes would be especially impactful in Japan. Spring could bring cherry blossoms, summer could feature vibrant green landscapes and festivals, autumn could cover mountains in red and orange foliage, and winter could transform mountain roads into snowy drift playgrounds. Few countries offer such visually dramatic seasonal transitions, making Japan a natural fit for Horizon’s seasonal gameplay systems.

From a photography perspective, Japan would be unmatched. The contrast between ancient temples and modern supercars, rural rice fields and hypercars, or Mount Fuji towering in the background of races would provide endless opportunities for players to create stunning screenshots. The country’s unique architecture and landscapes would give every location a recognizable identity.

Japan would also allow Playground Games to embrace automotive subcultures more deeply than ever before. The game could feature drift-focused festivals, mountain pass challenges, underground street racing events, time attacks, and car meetups inspired by real-world Japanese enthusiast communities. These activities would feel authentic because they are rooted in Japan’s real automotive heritage.

Finally, Japan possesses a rare balance between realism and fantasy. It is a real-world location with world-famous landmarks and authentic culture, yet it has achieved an almost mythical status among racing enthusiasts. For many players, driving through Japan has been a dream since the earliest racing games. A Forza Horizon set there would combine iconic cars, legendary roads, beautiful scenery, and deep automotive history into a setting that feels tailor-made for the franchise.

Honorable mention to Vinland.
