Forza horizon 5 needs a hard-core/challenge game mode, change my mind?

Forza horizon 5 needs a hard-core/challenge game mode (Along side the game mode now, for those who like it), where its difficult to obtain cars, a progression system where you start at the low end and it takes a while to get the good cars, (not just thrown at you for crashing in style). Here is a list of things I think would make this work.

Racing the only form of income, (can still get more money for style)
No wheelspins
No auction house
Different progress to main mode (no transfer of cars between the two)
No free cars
Races have limits (for example start at C class only or hatchbacks only or both), which slowly build up to un-restricted. Basically making it more of a grind, which for some (including me)is fun.
Can introduce more ways to make money if it fits (turn the drift sections/stunt jumps into single player events with prize money.)

What do you think?

This game is already a grind, even for hardcore players like me. You go ahead and repeat the same accolades over and over in hopes it’ll check off the list. My patience tank has been on empty for that reason alone. You don’t even have to keep the free cars nor use all the wheelspins. This is your Horizon remember?

You mean make Forza Horizon into one of the other racing games out there? Then Test Drive will come along with festivals, and gambling and replace FH?

I think it doesn’t matter how many good ideas people suggest because nothing will come of them. I think the problem we all have is we play other games where that add new content and improvements based on player feedback. This is not one of those games. Their model to date is to build a new iteration of Horizon every 3 or so years and release 1-2 expansions. Outside of this they have shown to release minor updates to address major exploits and some critical bugs. Emphasis on some.

Long story short, accept it for what it is and clearly voice your opinion if you think it’s good or bad. But don’t fool you self to think your ideas will be used, at least in the given version. After all there wasn’t an open beta for a reason. Your input at that stage is too late for them.

Politely ask the devs to give you all of the progress reset bugs. You’ll get the endless grind you’re looking for.

The concept of having a separate mode is appealing and I would play it…however, I wouldn’t trust Playground to be able to implement it correctly, even if they wanted to and it would be just one more thing to lament

If I wanted the endless grind again, I’d go MMORPG, usually much easier on the eyes too :stuck_out_tongue:
As already suggested, delete your save and start again, you can make things difficult/easy as you like.

Personally I’m getting tired of grind (including FH5), now I just want to enjoy and have fun.

Why use an extra gameplay mode, everything suggested can be done with the game in its current status, Almost everything to be correct as the wheel spins after every level upgrade are not avwoidable…

But what stops the thead opener to ignore the auction house, to gift rewarded cars from the accolades and to store the gathered wheelspins without using them.

All that are suggested can be done with some self control - no extra game mode needed.

Racing the only form of income, (can still get more money for style) - if you win money or cars in the level upgrade wheelspin, you can gift it (buying a car from the money you won)
No wheelspins - just don’t use them
No auction house - just don’t use it
Different progress to main mode (no transfer of cars between the two) - gift rewarded cars from the accolade
No free cars - gift the free cars
Races have limits (for example start at C class only or hatchbacks only or both), which slowly build up to un-restricted. - the same, you already can choose class and type of car for almost every race - if you want to race in D-Class, where is the problem, you can already do that.
