Horizon Holidays (Series 15) | Week 1 - December 8th, 2022

Here are the newly available cars this week.

The 2022 CUPRA UrbanRebel Concept is a permanent addition to the Autoshow, and was also gifted to all players on December 8th (the Gift Car message in the Message Center is available to collect until January 5th). The 1971 AMC Javelin AMX is a seasonal Exclusive available for 20 points from the Summer Festival Playlist.

The Javelin offers five engine swaps in Conversions:

2022 CUPRA UrbanRebel Concept

Step behind the wheel of an all-electric racecar with a truly rebellious spirit. It’s coming to the real world in 2025 as a road-going car, however you can experience the CUPRA UrbanRebel Racing Concept first before anyone else in Forza Horizon 5. Designed, developed and built in Barcelona, Spain, this racecar mixes electrification, sustainability and performance integrating virtual aesthetics to create a design language for the future generation of electric vehicles. CUPRA said they wanted to inject a gamification look to the racing car, and they certainly achieved it, with a livery surface that adapts and changes as the light moves across it, as well as a large spoiler with integrated lights that nods to the racecars of the virtual world. So, it looks incredibly unique, but how does the UrbanRebel Racing Concept perform? It delivers 335 bhp of continuous performance with a peak of 429 bhp! It can also reach 0-62mph in only 3.2 seconds. Sounds like a perfect match for the Horizon Festival, where you can drive this unconventional concept car early and set your fastest lap time in Forza EV, as well as put it to the test in dedicated Seasonal PR Stunts.

1971 AMC Javelin AMX

Those huge fender arches? They’re to fit oversize race tires. The long deck? That’s for the 401 CID, Trans-Am-inspired V8 packing a four-barrel carburetor capable of 330 horsepower. From the crease running down the flanks to the quad taillights hooded by a ducktail spoiler, the AMC Javelin AMX was one of the more audacious pony cars to drive for dominance on the drag strip and the race circuit at the height of the muscle car era. Despite odds stacked up against the small, independent automaker in the face of the Big Three, the Javelin and its AMX derivative smoked them in Trans-Am racing, taking the checkered flag in eight of the ten races of the 1971 season, with Mark “Captain Nice” Donahue behind the wheel of many of them. The Javelin AMX distilled the racing success into one of the most exciting, and certainly one of the most distinctive, muscle cars to rumble out onto the scene. Whether you line up for a quarter-mile or swap paint with its Trans-Am rivals out on the track, the coupe from Kenosha is a potent competitor.

Horizon Holidays (Series 15) | Week 2 - December 15th, 2022

Here are the newly available cars this week.

The Plymouth Fury is a seasonal Exclusive available for 20 points from the Autumn Festival Playlist.

The Fury offers six engine swaps in Conversions:

1958 Plymouth Fury

Only a car with the beautiful lines of the 1958 Plymouth Fury could have inspired the kind of obsession expressed in Stephen King’s “Christine.” While this Fury may not be possessed, this much chrome, this much tailfin, and a 305hp Golden Commando V8 under the hood are worthy of close appreciation. Sure, this Fury is a huge hunk of glistening metal that is best driven in a straight line, and it may lack braking and turning performance, but who cares? The Fury is gorgeous, and it represents an era where cars were designed to be alluring and gas prices were not an issue. Besides, once you feel the float of this boat going down the straightaway, winning may become less of a priority.

Horizon Holidays (Series 15) | Week 3 - December 22nd, 2022

Here are the newly available cars this week.

The Cadillac Limo is a seasonal Exclusive available for 20 points from the Winter Festival Playlist.

CAR Car Type PI Class HP T Lbs Engine Layout
2013 Cadillac XTS Limousine Super Saloons D 492 304 264 5500 3.6L NA V6 Front/RWD

The limo offers six engine swaps in Conversions:

2013 Cadillac XTS Limousine

One advantage this Cadillac XTS Limousine has is its length. You are not going to just fly by this vehicle. It’s long. When toting around VIPs, you need a limousine and that’s where this rig comes in. Plunk down in its luxurious interior and watch a movie as the driver puts in a few laps or use it as a canvas for an elongated livery. With 300 horsepower in the stock version – and don’t forget you can upgrade this thing with a NASCAR engine – it’s no slouch. If you want to practice your cornering skills, the Limo will give you a new perspective on watching out behind you. Simply put, this is one hulking and fancy piece of machinery that’s certain to get you across Mexico in style and raise a fair share of eyebrows along the way. All the more reason to have it in your Forza Horizon 5 garage we say.

The AMC offers seven engine swaps in Conversions:

The Lamborghini offers the 750 hp RACING V12 engine swap but its stock engine can upgrade to 1532 hp with twin turbo conversion (slightly less than the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ).

2020 Lamborghini Sián Roadster

The 2020 Lamborghini Sián Roadster is the Italian manufacturer’s first open-top hybrid supercar to feature a supercapacitor. With electrified intensity, the incomparable 800-horsepower V12 that powers the Sián Roadster is at the top of its class. It’s the most powerful Lamborghini engine yet, capable of 217mph, while its unique and innovative use of a supercapacitor takes hybrid technology to the next level. It also has futuristic design features, such sculptured contours, distinct aero wings and aluminum details painted in Oro Electrum, a special type of gold paint chosen by Lamborghini to indicate their hybrid cars. It all comes together for an incredible all-wheel-drive supercar built with meticulous attention to detail, very fine materials and an ultralight body. It even has unique interior accents celebrating the very first Lamborghini Miura. While only 19 models are planned for the real world, the Horizon Festival has ensured that everyone who feels the holiday spirit over the coming series might just find the 2020 Lamborghini Sián Roadster under their garage’s festive tree in Forza Horizon 5.

1970 AMC Rebel ‘The Machine’

AMC was notorious for taking on the big three in its own way. When it came to the muscle car market, the AMC approach was unique with performance that could give the big boys a run for their money. “The Machine” came with a flamboyant red, white, and blue paint scheme that made as much of statement as its 340-horsepower V8. From the factory this Rebel was poised as a street legal drag race car and could run mid-14s in the quarter mile. The distinctive ram-air hood scoop and hood-mounted tachometer contributed to the car’s performance-minded attitude. “The Machine” was no poseur; developed in collaboration with Hurst Performance, it could put down the power via the “Twin-Grip” Positraction style differential. AMC always did things delightfully different, and this definitive muscle car is a perfect example.

Here are the newly available cars this week.

The Renault Megane R.S. 250 is a seasonal Exclusive available for 20 points from the Summer season Festival Playlist.

The Megane offers one engine swap in Conversions, the 300 hp 1.6L I4 engine.

2010 Renault Megane R.S. 250

Quintessentially French, the Renault Megane RS250 combines a serious helping of Renaultsport’s tuning expertise with the already stylish Megane. The blacked-out grille is the first clue this is not a run-of-the-mill Renault, and if you weren’t convinced right away you could peer at the red-painted brake calipers or the bright, yellow-faced tachometer for further confirmation. A twin-scroll turbocharger boosts output to a remarkable 250 horsepower, considering that the engine is only 2 liters. So, it’s perhaps no surprise that this fast Megane gets out of its own way with an emphatic bark from the center-exit sport exhaust. The RS250’s stiffened sport suspension also hunches the hatch down low over larger alloy wheels, improving the stance and the cornering at the same time. That’s not just lip service—the RS250 has some serious moves, helped in part by a limited-slip differential and an electrically assisted variable power steering system to keep the front wheels from churning under the ample torque.

2020 MG #20 MG6 XPower

Sure, the road-going version of this car is your overall reward for the #FORDzathon series; however, the racecar variant isn’t anything to snuff at. The great news is that it’s also coming to Forza Horizon 5, so you can have the best of both worlds. In addition to the special racecar livery, you’ll even get a boost to performance with a 350-horsepower front-wheel-drive output. It has a six-speed sequential gearbox, and the car utilizes a dual master cylinder brakes system with four-piston calipers reaching the front brakes and two-piston calipers sent to the rear brakes. Take it out to the Horizon Festival Circuit and set your fastest lap times so you can experience how nice it is to drive! Maybe you’ll impress Tío Forza.

2021 MG MG6 XPower

The 2021 MG MG6 XPower unleashes the true capabilities of the MG6 lineup with a straight-four 1.5-liter direct-injection turbocharged engine that’s fused with a high-power synchronous electric motor. The combined outputs of both give this plug-in hybrid a solid 300 horsepower, and it’s capable of reaching 62mph from zero in just six seconds. What’s more, the front-wheel-drive car has a combined peak torque of 354 lb-ft and a 10-speed electric drive gearbox while the wide grippy tires, unique elastic suspension, large shock absorbers and a stiffer spring stabilizer bar extends the car for more rigid, durable and extreme driving, so it’s the ideal machine for your next Forza Horizon 5 adventure. Its brakes are even racing grade with an innovative brake disc and upgraded front and rear caliper system bringing the car from 62mph to standstill in a short 33-meter sprint! These incredible numbers are paired with an aggressive eye-catching design as the sporty looks of the ultra-wide body aerodynamic kit and carbon fiber rear spoiler cement MG’s racing legacy all over this XPower, so you always know you’re in control of a beast and a truly modern interpretation of racing DNA!

2016 Renault Clio R.S. 16 Concept

Is it stripped down due to the lack of air-conditioning and a back seat, or is it loaded since it’s packed with performance from the Renault parts bin? Disregarding the semantics and getting straight to the spec sheet delivers a clearer judgement. Renault has taken the 271-horsepower turbo four-cylinder from the Megane RS 275 Trophy-R model, along with key suspension and braking components and then stuffed them into the small package of the Clio. With the appropriate flare of the Clio Cup rear diffuser, a stout aero kit and actual flares to contain the massive 19-inch wheels this Concept has properly celebrates the 40th anniversary of the much-loved RS model.

2010 Renault Clio R.S.

Celebrating 20 years on the market as “the small car with big-car attributes,” the Clio has been a top-selling compact, replacing the Renault 5 line. While the Clio has always been appreciated by its exacting owners as precise, sporty and efficient, the Clio RS takes it to a new level. The 2.0 liter 16-valve is peppy and, thanks to its Brembo brake calipers, it will start and stop with the best in its class. Its distinctive nose is endearing and may even prompt others to grin back at it. The Clio RS suspension has been upgraded with widened front and rear tracks which deliver stable and grippy handling. At nearly twice the cost of a base Clio, you can rest assured the additional investment has been put to good use with your performance pleasure in mind.

When the last 370Z rolled off the Nissan factory line in 2020, there was much anticipation by enthusiasts for the car that would eventually replace it. Fast forward to today, and its successor is finally here, and now you can take it for the ultimate road-trip across Mexico. To celebrate fifty years of heritage in the Z line, the 2023 Nissan Z features design elements inspired by previous Z series models. This includes a front design with a rectangular radiator grille based on the Datsun 240Z, while the rear of the car harkens back to the Nissan 300ZX (Z32) with horizontal taillights in a black trim. While its storied history is all over the car, everything else has been newly developed for a fully modernized driving experience with a 400-horsepower, 3-liter twin-turbo V6 under the hood and 350 lb-ft of torque.

By ‘95, due to rising prices and insurance premiums, it was ending its production run, making this model especially prized by collectors. The GT featured a 2.0-liter, 241-horsepower engine with a five-speed gearbox, capable of 228-lb-ft of torque, mounted behind the seats that put it on equal footing with cars like the Ferrari 348. In fact, without it, the later Lancer Evo might not even exist. The Galant VR-4 was the platform that Mitsubishi developed its impeccable AWD system and, in the process, won no less than six rally championships. It also makes for a barrel of thrills to drive. The VR-4 ignites off the line, cuts into corners, and brakes with precision. The engine develops potent horsepower put to the wheels via a center differential that detects wheel slippage and re-directs power to the axle with the most traction. Four-wheel steering engages at speeds more than 31 mph and turns the rear wheels up to 1.5 degrees to enable optimum turn angle and cornering stability. One look at the VR-4 equipped with the bull bar, the huge halogen fog lamps and roof vents and dressed in its classic Mitsubishi race livery make it obvious this car means business.
