Try this:
Players may experience loss of sound and possible inability to progress in the game if they ‘Disable all enhancements’ under Sound > Playback tab > Select your playback device > Properties > Enhancements.
It was mentioned in one of the early topics on this forum and helped me getting past the splash screens into the game, however a new problem occured here that the game has no in-game sound except in menu and cut scenes…Well at least i go to try and race a bit and get the feeling of the game, but issues like this worry me. Especially the history seen in FH3 and FM7 on PC

On PC version, after i launch and show the turn 10 logo in video, the game crash.

I deleted the demo and downloaded it again, and now it works.
Hi, I just purchased Forza Horizon 4 on Xbox One and when I start the game, it just displays the start up screen, and then goes back to the home screen. I didn’t do any updates on the game. Is there any solution? Please help.

Same here, i bought Forza Horizon 4 for windows 10 and i installed it on the microsoft store. When i launch it it just shows the main picture but it doesn’t launch my game. I have tried reinstalling and some other things. Please help

same issue, forza pushed there first patch and it broke the game, and stop’s it from starting LOL what a fail…

My Forza 4 on Xbox one when launching goes form the opening screen to a black screen… Please help…
The same is happening for me. Complete joke. No one has even discussed a solution for this. Wasted too much time uninstalling & reinstalling already.
Once it is sorted I can’t say it will be the end of the bugs by looking at the other threads

I’m playing on PC and have the same problem. The game shows the logo and then just closes.
Played like 30 min ago and everything was ok. After entering the house the game froze. I closed it and now it won’t launch.

i had a similar problem. tried literally everything, but the only solution was when I did a complete reset/reinstall of Windows (not the one where you keep your files - that didn’t work either) and installed on the main drive. It’s working like a charm now, no crashes or anything. Maybe it’s just easier.
Hey Guys! If you have MSI Afterburner, close it before you start the game, or, change the detection to NONE. It worked for me! I hope i helped for at least someone of you! Have a nice day!

You my man are a life saver:grin:, thank you for the info. I ended up shutting off msi afterburner and any program associated with msi and the game launched without an issue … I bought the game 4 days ago, it launched after it finished downloading and was able to play it for 30 minutes before it crashed and wouldn’t work anymore after that but that’s to your info I’m now able to play again, thank you very much!!!
I launch the game, press continue it load for 4 seconds then it crashes on PC, i had the same exact issue with FH3. I was able to play for the first 4 days i had it and now it wont work
