Is there any price discount benefit for previous game owners or VIPs?

Do I need to buy two copies in order to play on box Xbox and PC?
No if you buy digital, Yes if you buy disc first. As an Xbox Play Anywhere title, when you buy the game digitally then you own the game for both console and PC. You don’t need to own a console or even have a Windows 10 PC at the time of your purchase to go through this process. Play Anywhere is not available with disc purchases, but you could later buy the digital version and then enjoy the Play Anywhere benefits with your current game save and DLC. Is FH3 available to purchase from Steam?
No.
How do I purchase FH3 just for PC?
As a Play Anywhere title, purchasing the game digitally buys both the console and PC version together for one price; there is no PC-only link. You don’t need to own a console to obtain the PC benefit. Digital purchase can be made via:
- Console dashboard
- Xbox App for Windows or mobile devices
- Windows Store app (which redirects to Microsoft.com)
- Xbox.com search (which redirects to Microsoft.com)
- Some retailers offer a digital code; be sure you’re buying a code and not the physical disc (softcase or SteelBook Ultimate Edition), which does not include the PC version benefit. Microsoftstore.com is a retailer, not the Microsoft.com digital store.Once you have purchased or redeem your code, go to the link for your bundle: Standard | Deluxe | Ultimate then click the Forza Horizon 3 image under “In this bundle” and click Install as seen in this video. Can I give away my Play Anywhere PC copy or let others use it while I use the Xbox version?
No, the PC version is tied to your account, which can only be logged in one place at one time. See Xbox Support and discussion thread.
Can I buy the game digitally with a gift card instead of a credit card?
Yes. See the Xbox Support page about using Xbox gift cards. This would also be the way to buy the game as a gift for someone else. See the discussion thread. You can confirm your pre-order purchase in your Microsoft Account Order History. Issues with billing and payment should be addressed to Xbox Support, or the retailer who sold the game to you.
I live in [country] - can I buy and play FH3?
“Xbox One may be used in all countries, including the non-launched markets. In addition, Xbox One games are not region locked. Any Xbox One game purchased at retail can be used in any country on any Xbox One. What are the Loyalty Rewards? Will I get cars and credits?
Players can receive up to 12 free cars listed in the Loyalty Rewards announcement. Credits are not included in FH3 Loyalty Rewards (as they were for FM6) - see discussion thread - but gift credits are available from ongoing Forza Rewards. Loyalty Rewards are not related to digital or retailer purchase method, and will be available even if you buy the game after the pre-order period. These car models are not exclusive to Loyalty Rewards; you will be able to obtain the same models through regular gameplay if you haven’t qualified to collect them as gifts.^ Watch the Contest Thread for future opportunities to earn gift cars and credits.
I’ve been playing FH3 - why don’t I have my Loyalty Reward cars?
The Loyalty Reward prompt occurs after some game progression. After you have selected your second Festival Site, return to the Byron Bay festival garage. The prompt is automatic and the cars should be gifted directly to your garage. If you don’t see this prompt after selecting the second festival, try further progression such as entering events and winning Head-to-Head races. If you’re still missing the gift cars, report it in the appropriate Support forum. See discussion thread.
What bonuses are available for pre-ordering from retailers?
- Digital pre-orders via Xbox include the FH2 Rockstar Energy Car Pack and FM6 Meguiar’s Car Pack.^ See discussion thread.

- EB Games Australia is offering an Australian Tour Edition which includes four of the exclusive pre-order bonus carsplus a Forza-branded t-shirt with the SteelBook Ultimate Edition.
Will I miss out on certain car models if I don’t buy from specific retailers?
No. Preorder cars are tuned versions of cars everyone will have access to as part of regular gameplay.^ See discussion thread.
What’s the best way to get everything?
Buying the Ultimate Edition digitally from the Xbox dashboard or Xbox.com will provide you with the Play Anywhere benefit plus VIP and Car Pass and one pre-order bonus exclusive model. You would have to purchase a copy of the game from each retailer to get a code for each of the pre-order bonus DLC cars along with merchandise additions such as the scale model Centenario and controller sticker. Expansion packs and the Expansion Pass are not included in any version of the game and would need to be purchased separately.
