So as most of us are aware, Gamescom kicks off very soon and I just wanted to hear your thoughts on what may be showcased there. We should be receiving lots of news as Ralph Fulton states in this tweet: https://twitter.com/ralphmfulton/status/765168542878724096
Personally I think we may be seeing more areas of the map e.g. The city or the desert and maybe the reveal of Porsche/Volkswagen considering the event is held in Germany.
I’m thinking this is when they’ll announce the hover car expansion pack that’s coming. You get to race hover versions of all cars, F-Zero style and you can fly to other countries to race around the Horizon 1 and 2 maps.
DISCLAIMER: None of that is true, but I was bored!
I think they’ll just show more gameplay and explain some of the things we’ve asked about since E3, such as more detail on blueprints, customisation etc. There’s only a few weeks until launch so there’ll be building the hype to a crescendo just before release, this is one of the bigger stops on that particular hype train! Hopefully Ralph will have a nervous breakdown due to all the pressure of crunch time and will run around the display hall wearing only his Forza boxer shorts, Shouting i’m so sorry it was all dragnets fault. Then disappear into wormhole leaving his last words ringing in the air…
…Beware the 'Roo’s…
Christ my medication is working overtime today. Some of the above is/and/or probably not true.
Speculation threads merely provide people with the opportunity to get excited about what they want in the game, only to amplify their disappointment when it’s not how they imagined! So remember guys anything in a thread like this is just people’s ideas of what’s coming, it’s not official word in any way!
Personally I’d rather not see which cars have bodykits and other new customisation items as it takes the fun out of selecting your favourite cars on launch day and finding it all out for yourself. But those days are gone anyway and it’s nearly impossible to avoid ‘spoilers’. Same with barnfinds, us car guys are smart, we know which cars out of the full list will be barnfinds, but we don’t know which order they’ll be in though, so that’s a plus.
But properly on topic, I hope that a good chunk of the cars from the FH2/FM6 list that aren’t currently confirmed as being in FH3, get confirmed.
From the newly released IGN footage it looks to be mostly the same as FH2 on the gameplay and environment part. Lots of fields, trees (I saw smashable ones which is great) and emptiness. Still excited and going to get the game though.
Personally, I’m not bothered about wheel support but I hope those that are get some welcome news. But I would definitely like to hear of definitive system requirements.
Would have preferred they did not show anything at all.
My feeds are showing “FH3 gameplay from Gamescom” and then I see the same footage that’s been played to death already. Disingenuous. A disservice to fans.
Absolutely baffled about why nothing new couldn’t have been put together in the time since E3 and on time for the show starting. Access begins in 5 weeks for preorders.
You can just see the enthusiasm at the beginning of this thread drop as you get further down it feels like they had a chance to show something off and they totally forgot
but I’m sure we’ll be getting some new info at some point this week… anyone have any idea what the Gamescom schedule? I tried to check today but couldn’t decipher the website…
Personally, I’m glad they didn’t show off anything new at Gamescom, I like to be surprised. Everything that was shown/announced at E3 was enough to get me hyped for Horizon 3. Right now Horizon seems to be improving with each game. They haven’t hit that rut that Motorsport has hit yet.
I’m not really sure why everyone is so eager for demo? Is anyone really that on the fence that only a demo will help them decide whether to buy the game or not?
I already preordered the Ultimate Digital Edition and so far the only thing I was disappointed with is that they gave me 2 car packs for FH2 I already had, which is minor really.
Just have some faith. Horizon 3 is going to be great!
