For some strange reason, every time I start up horizon 2, it crashes back to the home screen for me during the loading stage. I tried a hard reset on my console and it didn’t work. I played my others games both digital and hard copy just fine so it’s not my console. Should I delete the game off my xbox and reinstall? I feel if I do that I’ll lose all my data.
I am having the same problem with Forza Horizon 2 (disc) and a similar problem with Forza Motorsport 6 (digital download).
I am having the same problem as well for Forza Horizon 2 (disc) and Forza Motorsport 6 (digital download). Same goes with Forza Motorsport 5 (digital download).
Multiple people are saying Horizon and Motorsport is down, so it’s something on Turn 10’s side, no use in reinstalling.
Both games crash on me too and both are digital, I’m trying to reinstall them now. My guess is there messing with the servers for Forza Horizon 3’s launch.
Same problem here, horizon download. Can’t load past the loading screen. Hard reset didn’t fix it. Guess I’m gonna skip my gaming night 
Solution for now: “Go Offline.” I was able to play fine, but as soon as I tried to go back online after loading the game, it booted me to the Home screen again.
How to go offline
Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.
Select Settings.
Select All Settings.
Select Network.
Select Network settings, and then select Go offline.

Glad (?) I am not alone, Horizons 2 DD, Forza 6 DD and Forza 5 disk all down. I wound up having to resort to playing the Crew and F1 2015 just to make sure it wasn’t my console. I even deleted Horizons 2 and am wait for it to reinstall ( deleted it before I realized Forza 5 wouldn’t even play off disk )
