Well - it’s been nice knowin’ ya…

Why would they ?
It’s not in their interest to do that no matter what the reasons are…
Why wouldn’t they? There is so much PGG has done in the process of this game from launch (even pre-launch) until now that hasn’t been in their best interest. But people keep playing.
But why do people keep playing? For me, I keep playing because currently there is nothing else I’ve got to replace the thing. But once something comes along, I’m gone from this mess

Agreed - but most of that of that has been bugs and reluctance to fix the big issues over the unnecessary ones that don’t affect gameplay.
But as far as giving out the way they run their business - never gonna happen.

If you believe there was a license issue for the Ford woody that wasn’t resolved until now,
If the devs would have listened to us, they would have scrapped out the Ford woody and the two Morris wagons and consider giving us some good cars, but no. Sometimes, our expectations can’t be real.
Which roots? That’s the problem. Underground is old enough to be the roots for people who played it as their first NFS.
The Hot Pursuit 2010 or Most Wanted style isn’t really the roots of NFS either despite The Need For Speed having police: it was always about exotic cars on exotic places. NFS2 didn’t have police and was no less an NFS game because of it.
Evolution Studios made such a game back in 2014 and it flopped so hard, Sony killed the studio. The creative director of that game is currently the creative director of a game called… Forza Horizon 5. Coincidentally (or not?), both games had tons of issues at launch, but FH5 lays on the shoulders of its predecessors.
Porsche: “You can have the Boxster. But only for trailers until the end of the game ”
PGG: “We tried, but reasons”
?

The only licensing issue I know about concerns Lancia, Alfa & Fiat.
Indeed. That’s the only thing i was mad about. It’s 1 year that they were missing and didn’t return. If only they will come back like Mitsubishi and Toyota disappeared from FH4 and returned in 2019, are we gonna hope for FCA Italy not to have the same issue with Volkswagen disappeared from FH3 entirely? well, bad things do happen of course.
I’ve been worried how the missing FCA Italy were found in FH5’s team credits but looks like some type of false information because they were not in game. That might make people think that they’ll eventually come back later. Either the devs or Stellantis may be responsible for the issue. But it feels bad when new racing games like GT7, GRID Legends, and NFS Unbound gets their hands on Abarth, Alfa, Lancia, and Fiat but not FH5.
They used it in the Series 4 trailer only but not part of the game content. And hey, the game taunted us by letting us see some cars that were unreleased like Pagani Huayra, Aston Martin Vanquish and Vulcan, Lotus Evora, Koenigsegg CCX (briefly seen in the Hot Wheels DLC trailer), and now the Hudson Hornet.

With such a talented person in charge, the game will be fixed in no time then. Who the hell is responsible for hiring these clowns ?
My wager is that EVERY single car you EVER saw in any official FH5 video from PGG will end up in the game before the end of its lifecycle (with the possible exception of variants like FEs). What company would make a car game trailer containing a car they don’t have a rock-solid license for?
I mean you’d look incompetent, right? That would be like Paramount releasing a movie trailer with Benedict Cumberbatch without having a contract with the guy. PGG couldn’t possibly be that incompetent or careless, right…right??
Wasting the time they are licensed for. The Citreon DS 23 appeared so late in FH4. The 155 Q4 as well. Now they are already not there again. I get not releasing everything at once and they lost the Alfa Group. But the Morris Traveler?! This is becoming a brutal dripfeed method. 2nd time around for me. 3rd for many…

PGG couldn’t possibly be that incompetent or careless
You truly underestimate their incompetence
Actually, the Grand Wagoneer and Shelby Raptor appeared in FH4’s Fortune Island trailer but never appeared in the game, so yes, they are.
I think that was a hint of sarcasm from Pacy…
Seems I missed that one.
I have a quick and easy solution, make a DLC and release all car from fm7 there and start the horizon series all over again.
I don’t think they’re incompetent or lazy, but complacent. This formula is stale, but the game dominates the genre with no real competition. It always gets great reviews for being accessible and gorgeous even if reviewers don’t play it ever again. They probably don’t think they’re doing bad.
This game is suffering from being a live service game where they are obviously milking and stretching out content for Gamepass retention. We haven’t even got a single car pack since they can use new festival playlist cars to keep people coming back for an hour every week.
Are there any live service games that haven’t disappointed players for lacking content? Even Halo Infinite is a dumpster fire. Gran Turismo 7 is doing the same stuff.
The problem with GT7 has been that PD is releasing the campaign in bits and the few obsessive fans of the franchise who wanted a meaty single player are annoyed by it. Nevermind how racing games with huge campaigns (FM7, GRID) haven’t been performing well whereas games with slim ones like GT7 and FH5 have been doing pretty great. GT7 is also a game that suffers from dual personality due to PD having to cater to Sport Mode players.
Another problem with GT7 is that Sony has been saving its PS5 supply for the holidays, and it makes more sense to drop a large update when these new consoles are available than in the last couple months, when there weren’t as many consoles being sold. FH5 is more because Microsoft does the bare minimum, always.
Both FH5 and GT7 are games criticized by a very vocal minority (me, you, everyone in an online forum) who doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. FH5 is still among the most played Xbox games and GT7 has been selling pretty well, especially when PS5s are available. Now, I echo the sentiment of many people here when they say Forza Horizon has lost its way, as the current game is… cringeworthy, for lack of a better word. But it is a success. And my way of not showing support has been to simply not play, as it doesn’t appeal to my tastes.
Preference based on taste is what makes me stomach GT7’s issues and not FH5’s. I’m not a huge fan of FOMO in either. But, largely due to FH3’s success, it’s here to stay.
What I don’t get is why the BMW 850 and the Porsche 928 aren’t in the game while the AMG Hammer is. All of them were late(r) additions to FH4. To me it simply seems they’ve lost the oversight of what they actually had and have. Maybe the responsible person has left the building and took most of the knowledge with him/her?
I hope the forza devs are reading this post, considering it has over 1200 views now.
I’ve forwarded a link to this thread to one of the lead devs. Let’s see what happens.
