Forza 7 needs MULTICORE OPTIMIZATION!

I can run the game very well but not without issues.

I have an 8 core 16 thread CPU and ONE core is doing the brunt on the work. Completely maxed out that core, while others get tapped at only 15% on average.

This to me is unacceptable, considering ALL gaming PCs today use multi-core CPUs. Turn 10 you need to step into 2017 with multi-core supported workloads.

Unpark Core 0 in task manager. You can thank me later.

I’ve seen a few mentions of unparking core 0

The thing is I have never saw core 0 shown as being parked so what is the deal? Do you guys mean deselect core 0 in the affinity options or something else

When I look at my system the only cores I have saw show as parked are the higher ones. like core 10 and 11 may show as parked when the system is not needing them but never cores 0-4

Yes deselect core 0 in the affinity. Problem solved.

Intel here mine always uses 100% of core 0 and 3 and about 30-50% of 1 & 2

None of my cores are parked, you can check them in the Resource manager and are labeled if they are parked.

If youve got a way of unparking them that works, without going to a website to download a non-microsoft program of unknown quality as is the first hit on google, listed here: Disable CPU Core Parking Utility

then Id love to know. Also I think that this isnt something people should have to do, optimization is a DEV issue, not a consumer issue.

It doesn’t have anything to do with parked cores.

I have an 8-Core i7, specifically the i7-7820x. Forza 7 mostly has (according to Task Manager) core 1 at 100%, core 4 at %50, and the rest don’t really have any usage. No none of the cores are parked, and Turbo Mode is disabled. I always make sure no cores are parked, and set the power options to what I find work best when I install Windows.

Why is Turbo Mode disabled? Because with my previous X79 build it had better performance in games with it disabled.
