Another guy for the noServer BUS.
I’m playing the career for the first time 0:) Couple of years ago I finished FM2 for the first time, my first play of any FM career. Only finished FH before.
I always like to check how much faster my laps were than all cca. 100 of my friends who played several years ago  And in rare occassions when I trail behind, I quickly jump into free mode to remedy the situation.
Hope we get the servers back soon.

All,

  1. The fact that these (long-since) End of Life games are still functional online at all, is a -courtesy- on the part of Turn 10. We’re talking about games that are no longer bringing in any income to the company, and are now several generations behind what is currently being developed and produced.

  2. Not a one of us was ever promised a game that would last online forever, or would be made Backward Compatible on the Xbox One, or anything else. We can still play the offline functionality as much as we care to, for as long as our Xbox 360s keep functioning and with whatever DLC we were able to obtain before the licenses with the various car companies and/or vendors expired.

To that end: It makes perfect -business- sense for Turn 10 to devote the bulk of their limited support resources, to the current stable of Forza games (Horizon 3, 2, and F&F; and Motorsport 6 and 5)

Now, having said that? There’s no denying that those of still playing these older games online (myself included, if for no other reason than to capture as many Forza Reward points as possible while we still can), would like to have the servers back up and running just as soon as can be accomplished. But we all know that these games (and their related servers) are -absolutely- the bottom rung of the Turn 10 support priorities—and so, while frustrating, one can only recommend PATIENCE as things get put back in order.

Rant over; soapbox put away; now, back to racing!! :sunglasses:

Best wishes,
NorCalNavyMike

Not true. Leaderboards should be Xbox Live. Plenty of 2005-2006 games with online leaderboards from different publishers still working perfectly.

I have in my gamertag Hexic HD from Microsoft, Prince of Persia Classic from Ubisoft, Frogger from Konami as simple examples of old games with active leaderboards.

Now if Turn10 managed to develop silly leaderboards with fantastic features that eventually need to be shut down because of cost on their side, then that’s another sign of their bad design decisions.

I like the leaderboards, but I dislike the fact that the games don’t even have a local offline leaderboard for just my times in my tracks. Just like previous generations had.

Another example, The King of Fighters has in the leaderboards menu an offline and an online section.

No matter how well or poorly designed the online functionality of the various Forza Motorsport and Horizon servers might be, nothing you just said is going to have any material impact on the situation at hand:

  1. Turn 10 is not about to devote development resources to End of Life games.

  2. At best, Turn 10 will learn/has learned from past mistakes, and the current stable of games will function better online into the future once the current stable of games, itself, goes End of Life.

  3. There’s no sense griping about the status quo; we are where we are. The developers unquestionably check these forums from time to time; take corrective action when/as they’re able to; and even that, is solely upon their good graces to do so.

I feel your pain, my friend. But this is a “fight” one has no hope of winning—Turn 10 has all the keys, tools, and personnel under their own control. Period.

Turn ten fixed this issue 3 month ago and before that a year ago so I do not think it is a waste of time asking. There has been no announcement that the FM3 Storefront is no longer avaailable.

Maybe Turn 10 has something in the pipeline, like say Forza 3 and 4 becoming backwards compatible on Xbox One with servers and all. That would be great. I would gladly pay 10 -15$ each to have these games again on Xbox One. Please T10 make this happen.

And thanks for the hundreds and hundreds of hours of great gaming you have givende us in the last 11-12 years.

+1

GO Turn10!

We can always write to twitter @ForzaMotorsport they NEVER reply but for sure they read the messages, I will write to @ForzaMotorsport forever about this issue.

Remember always try to tag @XboxSupport when we write to @ForzaMotorsport because the last time the server stopped working for +4 months they (@XboxSupport) helped to fix it internally.

Twitter @XboxSupport was crucial to fix the server that time. Believe me, it’s true, I communicated with them (@XboxSupport) in an internal way (DM)

I hope the server works again. Greetings

Hi, I have the same problem. I hope that they will return the servers back online.

Same here

Servers are back online

I just noticed  I finished a career race and automatically checked the Leaderboards…to my surprise they showed up

Champagne for everyone!!!

I’m just curious, is it just a coincidence or did my yesterdays conversation with XBOX Tweeter Support come into fruition so soon.
Anyway, thank you XBOX Team and anyone who was involved in bringing the servers back.

Thanks Turn 10

Great stuff, this allowed me to complete FM3.
