When i try to use tools (such as bold font, etc), some stars (*) appear unexpectedly.
Also, when I use (_), these stars appear.
Here’s an example:
I’m a little confused by your post tbh. The asterisks get read by the forum as the attributes you want. Also it depends which tools you’re using.
If you used the standard markdown editor (top left of the composer window):
you will see asterisks around what you want to be bold (in the composer window).
However, you can now use the Rich Text Editor (toggles with the standard markdown editor):
to have the attributes appear as you expect (in the composer window). WYSIWYG

It doesn’t matter. Those stars will appear.
What ever examples you’re posting, they’re not showing up in the final post. Perhaps screen shot what you’re talking about and then post that.

Stars appeared here too. I didn’t want this to happen.
All I can suggest is use the Rich Text editor Top left and make sure the button looks like this while you’re writing your post.
←Make sure this is turned on
If you’re writing posts with that turned on, you should only be seeing exactly what you want to see as you type using the tools.

Yeah, I’m lost. I’m sure whatever it is you’re experiencing is frustrating. Sorry I couldn’t help. Good luck.
Maybe try clearing your browser cache or seeing if it needs updates, restarting your system, that sort of thing. If it was working correctly before, maybe that will fix it.
