Ford Falcon Sprint 1974

his is one of the most iconic cars in Argentina, and it participates in the most popular race in the entire country, which is Turismo Carretera. I leave photos of the original 1974 model carhttps://fotos.perfil.com/2020/11/27/ford-falcon-sprint-1089413.jpg
I also leave a post about the car itself where you can see all the information about it.

Wow, I didn’t realize Ford still had the American '63 Falcon tooling lingering around for that long (till 1981!).

Looks nice, but it makes me wonder why Ford, GM, VW etc thought it okay for South American buyers to do without all the safety improvements introduced to US and European cars in the Sixties and Seventies.

This car was produced in Argentina, it was used for a lot of areas and became legendary for racing, the competition was between the Ford Falcon Sprint, the Chevrolet Super Sport and the Ika Torino, this other one was also very legendary in our country and very darling

The Argentine government 80 years ago adopted a political model that is closed to the world, and for that reason many cars did not enter the country.

The Ford Falcon in Argentina was produced until 1991

I leave you a video so you can see how the track version of the car sounds, adopting the legendary 6-cylinder inline engine prepared by Orestre Berta!

Yes it was, but the tooling (dies used to press the panels out of steel, etc.) are a direct line to the '63 Ford Falcon in the US. Not unlike the VW Bug having a presence in Mexico for many years after production halted in larger countries.
