Ok, I see then. You know, in general, it’s always a decision to make - if you want the seasons to change naturally and have a cycle or - if you allow players to switch them. I am always for more freedom/functionalities - so sure - if people want switching the seasons manually - that is the option to add into the game. If option may be ignored and not used while forced weather cycle may be also ignored - both parties are happy. Give us a way of controlling it - that would be the best solution.
You could bring up the argument against it - aka the multiplayer/open world free-roam. It may be solved by pairing up people with the same season active though and switching the session when you decide to switch it - but then - what about friends? Well, friends may communicate and there may be the auto-pop up window to select the season when you’re joining in with friends; or - it may be automatic - the one who “hosts” the session dictates the season.
There’re always solutions and challenges with every decision - so it is a purely subjective decision in the end and here, yeah. I agree that the core area you’re identifying requires rework - I’m not sure how to rework it best, there’re different options, different results.

Personally I’m delighted they’re bringing back proper seasons including winter. The seasons on H5 have been so dull, a real step backwards. My only concern is the idea that the actual physics aren’t going to to change which is again imo a backwards step.

Of course I disabled that but it didn’t work, it just lessened being thrown in lobbies with cheats. It needs to be an option inside the in-game menu.
Some games fail to connect to any sessions if you turn crossplay off in the system settings.
And I think the Xbox PC version is still treated as Xbox, so it doesn’t really work in forza.
(Before PlayStation got Forza.)
So it is better to have a in game setting (a quick toggle)
Oh… wait, does that mean a PS5 Pro with crossplay off is actually the best way to play FH if i want anti-cheat?
What if… hear me out… horizon realms was the test bed to see if they can have multiple groups of players in multiple set-ups of the game… like, ya know… different seasons.
So perhaps we should see what it has to offer before we start whining like a challenger supercharger.
That’s what I’m saying, I wanted a button to escape the accurately created UK winter. 
Will we have option to change seasons according to what we want to play in solo mode?
