FM7 having huge troubles connecting to online [WIN10] [SOLVED] !!!!

EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED, HERE’S HOW I DID IT!

I’ve been having online issues for about a month or so now, not that online has ever been reliable, sadly, and saw a glimmer of hope with the support.forzamotorsport.net site being announced.
In the past months, I’ve contacted Microsoft support and have managed to get successful help I’d say 2/10 times.
Over 3 days ago I posted my ticket, and while it says it’s been assigned to someone, I haven’t heard anything from them. Not even an “I’m looking into your problem”
I don’t normally complain about technical issues like these as it’s to be expected when dealing with the various hardware and WAN issues there will be with such a massive project, but I also don’t normally encounter an issue that lasts this long.
When talking to Microsoft Support, they always say “Re-download the game” and I do, which doesn’t always resolve the problem, but it’s a bit rich to expect your customers to constantly re-download a 100GB+ title every time there’s a minor issue. There’s no way to backup the installation file, or verify the files and download only those you need like you can with the Steam client.

Here’s a link to my Forza Support ticket, I’m unsure if it’s publicly viewable, but if it’s not I’ll attach all the files to this post too.

I noticed that my issue seems to be completely ignored. Is there something I’m missing about the information I should be providing?

SOLVED!

Here’s how I fixed Forza 7 connectivity issues on PC (mostly):

  • After reading that XBOX users were having success for rectifying issues with the message centre by going offline on their XBOX settings, I decided to try a similar thing
  • Just like the XBOX players, I opened up Forza 7 to the title screen
  • Then, I Alt+Tabbed to the desktop and opened up my Settings in the Start Menu and went to ‘Network and Internet’
  • In that window I found the ‘Change adapter properties’ option under the ‘Change your network settings’ heading
  • In the ‘Network Connections’ window, I right clicked on my adapters and chose ‘Disable’ for each of them (I had multiple, you may not)
  • I switched back to Forza 7, and attempted to join a Multiplayer Lobby. This obviously didn’t work, but I did it to force Forza to check for a connection.
  • I then switched back to my ‘Network Connections’ window, right clicked on the adapter responsible for my Internet connection and chose ‘Enable’.
  • I again switched back to Forza 7, and attempted to join a Multiplayer Lobby with instant success.
  • At this point my messages still weren’t showing up, so I quit Forza 7 and loaded it back up soon after.
  • To double triple check I loaded into Multiplayer, exited back out to the main menu, and Messages was working perfectly!
On top of that, Rivals, Leagues and everything else all worked perfectly.

And that’s how I solved my problem!!!

For me, it does not fully work. To play online or Rivals, I always have to execute the procedure, because every time I leave the game, I lose the communication. Moreover, the messages did not work again at all. Sad.

This actually worked for me! I didn’t even have to restart the game, upon reconnecting to the internet and trying to connect to multiplayer all my messages arrived. Thank you, this is the only solution that solved this problem.
