@SKILLICIOUS , @X3R_Monkey , you two are a little late to the “This games (insert expletives here) posting party”. Most all of the negative comments and reviews have been wrapped up and hidden inside some big megathreads. With all those pinned “positive” threads at the top of the forum to cover and distract from the honest appraisals of the alpha test state of the game.
So many have either left the forums or just lost interest in keeping up. Good ideas get buried in the suggestions hub never to be seen again. You try to help and help falls on deaf ears. Nothing changes until the walls are about the tumble. Then they throw out a stick to brace up the walls and make everyone think things are going to change. But then it’s back to business as usual.
It’s the same story with both games FM8 and FH5. I think the people behind the games have lost the passion for the games. They’re just workers working at a job. Collecting a paycheck. That’s the extent of the passion they have for the job.
I’m sure upgrade #5 will look nice. The tell will be in what comes out in upgrade #6. Will it be the next step up? Or will it be back to business as usual?
I dont think the intial plan was to continue releasing a new track every month. I think at some point around now there would have been a few trackless updates and then theyd release Nordschleife.
But i think they feel they need to do the opposite which is release Nordschleife now so they can get a few months grace period of no new tracks.
Maybe “the game gets off easy” because for “GaMe JoUrNaLiStS” & “cOnTeNt CrEaToRs,” when a company (like Microsoft) owns dozens of game studios, it pays to maintain a mutually-beneficial relationship with that company in exchange for “eXcLuSiVe iNsIdEr AcCeSs.”
Maybe unfavorable feedback has also started decreasing because the active player count has dropped.
No players = no complaints.
When the game remains in such bad condition months after launch, many might have given up on the game since it seems like the game’s makers gave up on it a long time ago.
“The slander is kept low” because there is no slander here.
Slander is defined as: “falsely spoken defamatory statements.”
There’s nothing false about stating the facts regarding a game’s poor quality.
There’s nothing false about stating one’s dissatisfaction with a poor quality game.
Have you checked reddit? Every Forza Facebook group or every official Forza social media post? No slander? But it’s niche. That’s why it’s low. In the grand scheme of things it’s irrelevant.
So @X3R_Monkey , are you saying the game is getting a bad rap at those places? Or it isn’t? I don’t do any of those other places. So place enlighten me.
Bit off topic but wanted a thread where people are. With me having 420 hours now into the game I’m seeing a glimpse of the skill rating working. If I’m say 4880 I’m matched with my skill level, I can win races. Winning puts me above 4900 say 4930. I’ve no chance of winning. People at the top are 3 seconds a lap quicker than me. So I have to lose to get back into my skill level.
Can’t wait for the Nordschleife to come back. Hopefully it comes with the full 24 hrs layout (GP + Nords). Didn’t see any mentions of it. The tourist layout would be cool to have, specially with some sort of 24/7 open lobbie, like people just hot lapping around the track in different car and classes.
I know I’m asking too much with the last part but let me dream.
I just hope they fix the bugs. So frustrating qualifying in second place and then the game crashes just before race starts.
Not a fan of Nord track I’ve never liked it. Great news for those that love it though. Plenty of tracks I already love.
