I just picked up the Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon 5 Premium Editions Bundle on the MS Store/Xbox app, however, the individual products, ie Forza Motorsport Premium Edition and Forza Horizon 5 Premium Edition, are not listed as ‘owned’ either on my wish list or on their respective product pages.
I also picked up the Ultimate Car Pack Collection for FH5 and the Porsche 963 Combo for FM (so as to have all the DLC for both); yet while the UCPC is a bundle, all of the individual packs are listed as owned, leaving me a touch confused.
I’m not all that familiar with the MS Store/Xbox app, as most of my games are on Steam (I only use the MS Store/Xbox App for Flight Sim, Forza, and Minecraft), so I just wanted to check that everything was normal/correct, and that the games are properly associated with my account.
On the FM/FH5 Premium Editions Bundle product page it looks as though it might want to install both games together (though I’ve yet to try it), which obviously isn’t ideal/very flexible; thankfully however, I seem to be able to install them separately via My Library.
Assuming I install via My Library, will all the DLCs just automatically install with the game?
Thanks!
I think it’s a quirk of the Xbox store.
I’ve a number of x edition games that don’t show as owned but the standard edition does.
If it’s in your games library and you have a receipt of purchase, install the game - you can choose what to install (incl. Dlc bits) it should install everything however

Yeah, the MS Store is kind of dumb in that it doesn’t always list the individual DLC or packs as owned if you buy a bundled version. Mine’s like that for FH3 and FH4 since I bought a bundled deal when the former was about to hit end-of-life. Steam’s a lot better in that it’ll show you exactly what you own when you look at the full list of DLC.

Thanks for the info, guys.
It was a bit disconcerting not seeing the individual titles marked as ‘owned’, especially knowing that these things will get delisted at some point (my primary reason for picking them up now, in fact).
I think everything’s there in terms of the DLCs, though, as mentioned, Steam is far better in this regard (and many others, for that matter). Oddly, while I received email confirmations for the FM/FH5 bundle and the Porsche 963 Combo, I didn’t for the UCPC, despite buying it in between the two. All are showing up as ‘owned’ though and listed on my account order history (outside of the app), so I guess it was just a glitch. I might drop Customer Support a line if I don’t receive anything by the end of the day, just to be on the safe side.
Ever so slightly off topic, but just to confirm: the Porsche 963 Combo is the only DLC required to complete FM, correct? (£3.99 seemed a bit stiff for a single car and a racing suit, but anyway…)
One last thing: out of interest, is not possible to add items to a cart on the MS Store, only ‘buy now’?
Thanks again!

Thanks for the info.
It’s quite possible I didn’t see it, though it’s certainly not obvious.
As a sidenote, after updating the Xbox app yesterday I now can’t access My Library; clicking on it brings up the following error message: ‘Looks like you’re stranded…’
Wonderful…
Edit: The issue, I think, with the Xbox app was due to it being an Insider build; reverting to the standard version seems to have resolved the issue.

oh, yes, the Xbox shop can be a right mess - it’s partly that it’s a bit stupid in the way it’s set up and partly down to how the game-makers put stuff into the shop
World of Tanks Modern Armor has this thing where you can buy a DLC, then you’ll see a bundle for sale that has the game (which is free) and the same DLC - you can buy it again and get nothing at all - I’ve asked WG to stop doing this only to get told “it’s the way the shop works” missing the point that they don’t HAVE to release a bundle containing the DLC as well as the DLC
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is all over the place, I own absolutely everything, bought it all when it was released, one by one, yet a load of stuff shows as not owned even though it is - think owning the season pass confuses the poor thing
Assassin’s Creed games are a bit like that but different, all the individual bits show as owned but the various game-version “wrappers” don’t even though all content is owned
Hitman was very messy due to how IOI set it up more than anything
