Just finished Mid-Engine Monsters Series and like last week, the tracks selected are the best I can think of.

I used the Saleen S7. A very good car out of the box and a true monster when upgraded.

Liked the Lotus in E class on Maple Valley. Wished it was the full layout.

I’m enjoying the Pro driver rivals events. It would be much more exciting if we had their actual ghost to race against.
I don’t think these pros put much time into these laps because they have all been pretty slow, Jensons lap was the most competitive so far.

Boggles the mind that you added the current gen spec Miata car, ran one open build lobby, then switched to the ‘94 for your spec series and the only thing you can do is adjust tire pressure.

Does the person/team responsible for multiplayer just never watch racing?

Raced your ghost for a good few laps. I’m struggling to manage the manual/clutch on my wheel with flappy paddles. Been ahead quite a few times but I always fluff the 2nd to 3rd gear change and lose loads of time.

Bring back flat shifting I say!

Most of one car series have tunning disable and non race transmission (m/c power shift abuse),

I think these spec races should have always race transmission available to make manual competitive… Not like I can complain since it’s just free win with m/c makro xD

how does this work?

I was a bit ho-hum on the first two Mid-Engine series, so didn’t run them.

But always been a fan of the Carrera GT, so I bought it and gave the event a try.

A good drive overall on Sport tires, only some minimal tire pressure adjustments. I turned off traction control, as per the real car (IIRC), and still kept it together for a couple of wins.

Still the same negative experiences as ever, though. After a couple of races in the Carrera GT, the AI rammed/spun/broke my suspension a couple of times in a row. And I got penalties up to 3 seconds for the trouble.

Finally decided to just put FM on the settings it deserves: The second difficulty, with FRR and damage OFF.

And I was staggered at just how DARK the cockpit view is, coming from GT7 and ACC. And if the sun glares on the dash… even darker. I finally had to switch to the chase cam to finish the series. Felt like taking off sun glasses at night. Wow.

U are just lot faster when using manual + clutch with cars that don’t have race transmission, and since m/c i. This game is kinda hard in this game, almost no one uses it, so if u know how to m/c, u just get free win.

i know that but what is a M/C makro? how do i set this up?

Idk :sunglasses:

I’m just waiting for the Multiplayer challenge for the McLaren to unlock.

Is the top 50% for the Mobil 1 50th suit calculated when you put the lap in or at the end? I might have to keep an eye on it, if it’s calculated at the end, as I was only top 25% or something.

I have a question about this. As my best lap time is 71% on the leaderboards, can not be finish with the official lap time, may I will lost the Racer suit ?

From the description (“Finish in the top 50% in the Race Mobil 1 Pro Driver: Jenson Button leaderboard to get the Mobil 1 50th Anniversary Driver Suit”), the event is designed so that only the fastest 50% of participants will receive the suit. Or: 50% of the participants won’t get it! So, if you’re currently in the 71st percentile, you will not qualify for the suit unless you improve your position on the leaderboard.

Remember, you don’t necessarily need to beat Jenson Button’s time of 52.168 seconds to get the suit—you just need to be in the top 50%. Even in the unlikely event that everyone beats Jenson’s time, only the top half of those participants would receive the suit.

Tip: Try sticking to 2nd and 3rd gear. If you absolutely need to shift into 4th gear, do so after crossing the starting line but shift back before the fast/long right turn (T1). Shift gears late; with practice, your lap times will improve!

Good luck, and enjoy the race!

EDIT: Here’s my recommended gear selection for each section of the track.

Try mapping the clutch to a button on your wheel, and tighten up the deadzones for the clutch. I’m at 15-75. I dont know if thats the optimal deadzones, but I had them at that while using the proper clutch pedal for somewhat more of a regular clutch response, and noticed it reduced the clutch time when I mapped it to the B button on my wheel.
Once you get the timing right with the button press and paddle shift, you can pretty much flat shift like before. though I tend to lift just the slightest.

Also try reducing the angle on your wheel base as you can’t tune the elan. I ran 640 degrees

well if u don't complain they won't hear u...

ReWSAD cool tool !

I’m ready gonna to given up this driver suit reward …I CAN NOT beat the lap time on the leaderboards in 50%.
If the future of rewards is still a like these,I think don’t play this anymore.
