Adjustable mirrors, FOV since a devade, full HUD rescale and reposition, full telemetry, even a website for comparing full lap with others. If T10 tries for another 60 years they can’t make a game comparable to Codemasters.

Absolutely agree. Codemasters are in the lead. They get cars. They get racing. They understand gamers. And most importantly, they don’t waste our time with gimmicks.

Test drive solar crown and the crew motorfest will easily beat FM 2023 in the coming months

I have one simply question: How comes that the tarmac textures are worse/less detaild in FM23 compared to FM7 from six years ago? Why are basically ALL track related textures such a low quality even if i have the hd texture pack and everything maxed out on PC? Its not just the tarmac, its also the terrain next to track, the curbs textures, the guardrails etc. How and why??
And now comes the surprising part: In iRacing the tracks created or updated in the last 2-3 years have better tarmac and guard rail textures and texturedetail. Track surfaces in iRacing look real/used. Track surfaces in Forza look as if the track was build just yesterday.

I’m glad they fixed the “Get Tune” feature in rivals. Although the tune I just applied did not have close to the speed of the rival I copied it from??? It felt like a completely different tune…

Lol, what? You’re telling me they only changed the level when it unlocks but not the amount of points u have at that time? They rly know their game mechanics

Before u had “Ok, not unlocked so can’t use that” now u have “Ok, unlocked but T10 hates me” :smiley:

Maybe this update did fix something. But I still have missing track textures after some laps which makes the game unplayable at the moment. Unless this gamebreaking error is fixed, I won’t lay any hands on this “masterpiece” of game development.

Bugs I haven’t before, game crash, loss of progress, sound gone in game. After the update I have all these, well done turn 10

That abomination FH5 wanna be motorfest couldn’t beat itself outta wet paper bag XD XD XD . Absolute garbage game with driving on ice physics and god awful sound effects and zero multiplayer lobby’s (that grand race/demo derby crap dont count). This comes from someone who loved the crew 1 and crew 2. Cant believe they copied fh 1:1 with motorfest and made it worse.

I believe the changes made to progression have been performed to calm us down some way. To be honest it is not what we are expecting and the general issue remains the same.

Theres a difference between PC and Xbox. I only have multiplayer crashes on my PC sim, but lots of lots of crashes in career on the xbox series X.

The progression changes are very transparently an attempt at placation.
If they really wanted to ‘give more choice at lower levels’ they could have just as easily done what many people have been asking for and just do away with locked parts entirely. Just have the CPs.
The locked part system isnt good. This change to it isnt progress in the right direction. Its just to have youtubers say “Oh, well at least thats better now” to try to get PR turned around on it. Which I think will work for them.

Guess I’m going back to WF and FH5 til they release an actual update.
But I’m calling it like I already have in other threads. We’re not going to get the substantial changes and fixes the game needs til march or later next year. Thats how the cycle works. Thats when they get the player numbers up for the first quarterly.

sigh installed update, game still freezes when upgrading or buying a car. And now the added bonus of seeing the road through the hood of my Supra when using hood cam

Game still working well following the patch, no crashes yet (i5 9600k, 3080 @ 1080p locked at 60fps).

I do have to render at 125% to reduce the vaseline like visuals though. And there’s an odd issue at Nürburgring with a couple of areas where the FPS drops where there’s little on screen. But it appears stable.

The first patch was never going to fix all the issues.

Just wish they’d add in another few crash sounds.

Update 1.1 when? Or atleast some hotfix for the newly added bugs?

Thinking of sounds other than the crashing one I’d like to hear stones flicking off the underside of the car as well.

That would be nice for the cars where it made sense. Like race cars. But as someone else mentioned in a thread about the sound design. Its inconsistent with the type of cars. Like that shouldnt be a prominent sound heard in a bently, or a BMW, or Audi. In a Racing R8? Absolutely, tings and chips if you go over curbs should probably be audible. But a regular R8? No, you wouldn’t be hearing that due to the heavy insulation.
