It just doesn’t sound right. That big v12 has to do the car justice! It’s too low pitched and growly, it’s a lot better then horizon 1 but it’s still meh. I want like a screeching and horrifying sounding v12 to give the car something to hold up to. As it is my favorite car
Like alot of bugs in this game it wont be fixed unfortunately.
There are some sounds that are actually off in both games:
The SLS AMG for instance, very disappointing. Or the C7 Corvette Stingray (haven’t heard that one in FM5).
Remember, whenever there’s going to be a high car count, some cars will end up getting the short end. It’s just how its been in gaming for what seems like forever.
Remember the original Need for Speed from the early/mid 90s? That had less than 10 cars I believe, and even on the PS1, the engine sounds were mighty impressive and uber-realistic for ALL of them, given the technology at the time.
there has to be a comprimise between number of cars and quality
hence the fact that 2/3 GT cars are from PS2 instead of three and the fact The Crew only has about fiveteen cars (I believe). Forza is in the middle of these two extremes, as a person who doesn’t care much about sounds and perfect graphics I would be happy to sacrifice some quality for more cars but then other people want better quality and Turn 10/Playground have to make money.
No racing game will ever capture the way a car sounds in the flesh, even with the best sound equipment.
Simple as that.
I know a lot of people won’t like this, but of all this things to skimp on, I am glad it’s usually the sound. The graphics are there, the physics are there, and if the sound isn’t 100% realistically replicated I’m ok. For one, I play with the sound off more often tan not so itdoes not bother me. Second, even with the best equipment, you won’t replicate the sound and feel of the car in a game as if you were standing next to one.
