Ran a 1:03.277 some dirty 1’s capable of 1:02’s I’ll post the settings, wasn’t sure since the op is tuning if that was a good idea.
1:04.5 was the best I could do. Maybe I just suck at driving.
Goonies – I was able to hit 1:04.129 (#143), yet, with a different build with the race springs versus the ARB’s. For some reason, the ARBs are “problem child’s” for me to tame, lol…
Loco – I had the same build with a different rim (same weight?). You are obviously much faster than me (I was able to get 1:04.5 range), could be the Final Drive setting along with some of the tuning.
BTW, with my rims it was actually weighing in at 2797 lbs (55%). With your rims I actually go over to C-class. So, why the weight difference? Am I missing something from your build outlined above? Thanks!
Aftermarket rear wing? I have the INGS.
I’ll watch your replays when I’m on later. See if I can help.
Thanks Loco for checking these out! My video will be the one with the race springs which is my PB (1:04.129, #144 currently)
I also tried your build yet I cannot drive it. I also downloaded one of the top build/tunes (#9 on LB) and I cannot drive it as well – has ARBs. You folks are really good drivers which can control some cars very well. In my case I need a car that I can handle a lot better. I tried moving the ARBs as low as 12/7.5 and as high as 29.62/23.86, these have not worked yet! I used the settings from the Universal Tuning guide, the Forza defaults, a friend gave me the settings from the FM5 calculator app, and then a bunch in between – trying to primarily focus on how it feels to me and whether I can turn effectively. Basically, it oversteers. Especially rear tires loosing traction. Though when I fix it, then, my front hits the wall with understeer situation.
I can do a lot better at putting together a drivable car with the springs (stiffness, RH, damping, Camber/Caster/Tie) combo instead of the ARB’s.
Do the ARBs versus springs make the car faster? Both builds have same hp and torque, plus, within several pounds.
This build is driving me crazy! Enough said. I thought it would be a good track to do my first tune on.
Hey, that makes two of us going crazy with this car! No worries Goonies, I understand from many others that this car is a challenge…you picked a good one! LOL
By the way, I have a separate thread around the ARBs build and trying to understand Over/Under-steer. You might want to check out the other tuners thoughts.
I saw that post. I will try some of those things tonight. I have also been trying the eclipse. Pretty much same outcome except you can get some engine parts on her.
Watching your replay it sounds like you hit the rev limiter in turn 3 and down the initial straight. You want to adjust your final drive as that will cost you time.
