I wish to recommend that when creating Forza horizon 6 you may add a save file allowing your data from the previous game (FH5) to transfer to forza horizon 6 including account info, cars, presets, money etc. please take this into consideration as I feel it would make many Forza Horizon players happy.
If credits and cars were transferable between games, there’d be little incentive to play the new one. Anyone who’s played FH5 more than 6 months has more credits than can be spent.
As for transferable save files, they’ll never allow that because people will sell them.
Give the slow down time penalty to the right person!! Get the walls off the racing line. A lot of times they are angled in such a stupid way so your car ends up barely brushing them. The checkpoints. Make them so if I’m still on the pavement I can’t miss them. If you have not left the pavement why I’m a being punished? Less obstacles on the road for no reason.
For the love of god. Give me a rear view mirror in every view. I’ve asked about 100 times.
If there’s a wall there, can it really be the ‘racing line’?
It’s like they are angled into the road at certain places. For no good reason other than to trip you up. You take a line that should be fine and would be in Motorsport but the wall is just too close to the road. So you brush it so lightly. Not a wall bounce just a brush. This can result in a slow down penalty in a multiplayer race or a dirty lap when time attacking. It’s completely inconsistent about those things. Sometimes you get a penalty or dirty lap and sometimes not. There is no gap between the wall and the pavement or it’s very small. I almost never brush any walls in Motorsport there’s a good gap between the white lines and the wall. This game has many issues that have festered and been completely ignored for years.
You are joking, right?
No I am not joking it happens all the time and drives me nuts. Coming from Motorsport spending much much more time there than Horizon is probably why I keep doing it. I’m used to having a gap there and it’s almost nonexistent in Horizon. Take this months time attack. I come around the last corner and many times the car just barely and I mean barely (dink) hits the wall on the right due to the way they angled it. Lap dirtied and next lap dirtied yet I gained nothing. It’s not helping me. I’m not bouncing. The game knows no difference between a wall bounce creating a time advantag and a scrape. It treats them the same. I know what I’m doing top 1% time last I checked yesterday.
Sounds like operator error, incompatible expectations and a sprinkle of odd perspective.
The slow downs and dirty laps are based on impact level and pretty consistent in my experience. Also, there can be walls wherever and the ‘racing line’ goes around them. Just as it does at Bathurst in Motorsport, or numerous awkward sections like at the end of Circuit de la Sarthe or the slightly irritatingly shaped section before the back straight at Sebring. You gotta do the shape you’re given, not the ‘send it’ line, it would be nice to just send it straight onto the back straight or send it straight at the finish line without the inconvenience, but it’s not how it’s been laid out. What about hairpins 30ft from the start of a rally stage?
ETA - You sound like ‘the car’ is hitting the wall against your wishes, but, it’s you hitting the wall with car and the idea is to not. Also, top 1% doesn’t seem too difficult to achieve in FH5 tbh. Your ‘I know what I’m doing’, seems contradictory to your complaints.
Almost never happens in Motorsport unless I’m pushing too hard. I don’t have this issue on Le Mans or Sebring. Sure Bathurst it has happened at times not as many as Horizon but again it’s usually if I’m pushing too hard. They just give you more space in Motorsport.
Perhaps in Horizon, you are just pushing too hard.
Fair enough if you don’t like the shape you’re given, but that’s a different complaint.
Perhaps I push too hard. I agree it’s totally contradictory to my skill level. Horizon can drive me nuts. Obstacles in the road for no reason. Stairs of buildings poking into the road in the city. There’s a trap set to stop you dead I’ll find it. Missed checkpoint by inches when I never left the road surface. Drive right around it perfectly lol. That’s should be a skill.
Well, I suppose Motorsport is purpose built tracks and Horizon is mostly quite different to that, with these things included as part of the ‘fun’ - although, yes, they can definitely drive you mad!
I don’t find it fun lol. You don’t know how many good laps I ruined in the monthly time attack. That one on the board was almost as good as I can do. I think there’s a little more. It makes me nervous now when I approach that last turn since it’s happened so many times. That’s my favorite track in H5. The Playa Azul Circuit.
Sounds like you’ve found a bit of a nemesis in that corner! Good luck shaving a little more time off - but not paint!
Let me watch the video replay of my lap in rivals just like in Motorsport. Let me grab a shared tune off the rivals leaderboards just like in Motorsport. Why can’t we?
