Hi guys,
Do any of you think they should reboot horizon 6 like they did with fm. If so should they make it like horizon 3-4. Let me know what your thoughts are. Also thing I’d love to see added is a 1:1 scale of the entire earth. I’d love to travel the globe in any car I choose and I’d make the game like how horizon 3 was where it wasn’t about winning but having fun. That’s what makes fh4-3 actually good. Horizon 5 is fun with a controller but horrible with a wheel(in my opinion). What do y’all think.
Its kind of difficult to do 1:1 with current technology today.
When they were making Microsoft Flight Simulator they had a certain amount of difficulty, but they didn’t render roads and some buildings. With FH6 to make a 1:1 map it would e even more difficult because they would have to render roads, building, textures and etc.
For FH6 to be 1:1 today, they would have to go down the route where Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 where they had to have a server to load in everything. MSFS 2024 crashes a lot when there is to many people which shows this isn’t gonna be fun.
You possibly have this, but you would need a very large and expensive computer, with massive amount of storage and Internet speeds. This would cost a lot of money that most people don’t have.
This would effect sales of the game.
FH5 had some negative opinions, but the crashes/etc would be the icing on the cake with even more negative opinion, possibly with a high amount of profit loss.
Also what do you mean by Reboot?
But I wish a 1:1 map of the globe was possible.
Pretty unlikely that we get a reboot, since the reboot of FM was a flop, numbers wise (If you look at steam player base). Also FH doesnt lack player numbers, FM7 did and that was a good reason to reboot since they didnt have much to lose compared to FH. I hope we just get a new map and some gameplay mechaincs that are new but not too much as i hope for them to refine the expierience in it self. Hopefully not that many bugs in the begining and also hopefully they catch the Horizon vibe again.
Horizon maps are still pretty small compared to other more larger maps from older games. Granted, level of detail is better in Horizon maps typically, but either way, expecting a whole recreation of the world is… optimistic, to put it politely.
The Crew Map is bigger, it’s like around 70-80 Ingame miles wide.
Dear Playground Games Team,**
I’m a passionate Forza Horizon fan, and I wanted to share some ideas that could make Forza Horizon 6 the most immersive, exciting, and innovative racing experience ever.
Feature Ideas for FH6:
-
Fan-Based Progression – Earn fans through racing, influencing how the festival expands and evolves dynamically.
-
Fan Interactions – Followers request races, vote on events, and shape Horizon’s growth.
-
Walkable Festival Mode – Step out of the car, spectate races, interact with the Horizon world.
-
Character Progression System – Build your legacy beyond racing—whether as a tuning expert, event organizer, or racing icon.
-
More Balanced Wheelspins – No filler prizes, just high-tier rewards between 70,000 and 999,999,999,999 credits.
-
Barn Find Expansion – Over 30+ barn finds, with treasure maps, hidden clues, and player-driven discoveries.
-
True Hot Wheels Track Builder – Design massive, looping tracks, complete with boost pads, jumps, and crazy stunts.
-
Full Planet Earth Scale – Drive anywhere, explore iconic roads, and experience real-world weather and time zones.
-
Laser-Scanned Cars – FH6 could bring museum-level car accuracy, true-to-life interiors, and advanced reflections.
-
Autovista Revival – Fully interactive car showcases, featuring expert voice-over commentary and deep manufacturer insights.
-
Cold Start & Engine Tuning Effects – True-to-life engine reactions based on weather, altitude, wear, and temperature conditions.
-
Exclusive Jackpot Wheelspin Cars – Legendary vehicles unlockable only through rare high-stakes spins.
These are just a few ideas, but I truly believe FH6 has the potential to be the biggest, most dynamic Horizon festival yet. Thank you for your time, and I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Best regards,

If Horizon could achieve the map size of Test Drive Unlimited 2 (both Hawaii and Ibiza) and retain similar graphical fidelity comparable to previous titles, it would be plenty enough. But i doubt they could do even that. Since they’'ll most definitely have to make the graphics look worse.
For example Compare TDU 1 graphics vs TDU 2 graphics. TDU 2 has double the size of the 1st game’s map and it’s has at least 2 times worse looking graphics.
And let’s be real here. Horizon’s graphics are one of the primary selling points for the franchise. The very least i would expect that they manage to connect the expansion maps to the main land. Or expand their main map for free like The crew motorfest did with no more than a regular expansion size.
I agree with your comment except for this. Personally, I think TDU2 has infinitely better texture work as well as a better lighting engine. Lots more color too while TDU1 looks very washed out.
Personally I’m happy enough with the size of the maps we’ve gotten throughout the series. But if they’re able to make the next map bigger without compromising other aspects of the map design then that’s awesome. I still have my doubts and reservations, seeing how bland FH5’s map turned out. (which isn’t helped by the washed out color palette)
My biggest wish is that the lobby system gets a revamp. Either like FH4 so 72 player lobbies and your convoy always is priority, or private lobby system like FH1-3 combined with FH5 lobby system where the convoy isnt always the priority to render but the people in your area at the given time are the priority, wich tbh is not good for convoy and playing games like cvc in a convoy
I hope the loading times are vastly improved. It’s maddening how long it takes to do anything in FH5 because of how long the game takes to load, even on an SSD.
