Same here. Only the map is not enabling. The rest worked fine. I wonder how they fix this, because it is an issue with the Microsoft store, not with the game itself. I doubt that Microsoft cares enough…
Same issue here.
At least we’re able to write tickets now… The devs should at least add this issue to the “known issues”-list.
I opened one but I guess that they’ll respond to it when having the map is irrelevant
Yep, not working on xsx. Bought it and it says buy again then some error and it say I own it.
Just bought it on xsx and it is not working. Asking me to buy again and then some error and then that I own it.

This is only a semi-fix for those on PC, that can’t do the XBOX workaround.
What I’ve done:
- purchased the treasure map a second time, this time as a gift; sent the code to another email
- started up Horizon 5
- logged out of my Microsoft Store account; signed in with a secondary account
- redeemed the code I sent to the other email on that secondary account
- on the map, I pressed the controller button/ keyboard key ‘Y’ to ‘purchase’ the treasure map
- on the popup, I logged in to my secondary MS account
- got access to the treasure map
This is quite certainly not ideal, but I was just not patient enough to wait for the fix.
Also I do not in any way guarantee that this will work for everyone, it just worked for me, so don’t blame me if you spend the money and it doesn’t work.
I just got fed up and asked a friend to log my account on his XSX, they can do that without even needing your password (you just receive a link and a code you have to input) and boom they’re online with your account on their XSX, my friend unlocked me the map. As a bonus he can play Forza Horizon on his XSX while I play on Windows, both at the same time so he doesn’t even have to purchase the game (he plays on his own gamertag that’s it).

I believe the Treasure Map is currently broken and if you prepurchased it is completely unavailable.
Try refunding it and purchasing it again, or wait until the 11th when Series 1 starts and the first bug patches begin.
Guys if you have a friend on PC with the map working, you can use his info to log in on your PC start the game with his info, then close the game log out and go back to yours than it should work. It worked for me. Hope it helps someone !
I couldn’t get the treasure map to work so I tried to buy it to see what would happen. Randomly it let me buy it and i was charged the 2 pounds or whatever it was. Not the end of the world but annoying having to pay twice for something. Makes me wonder what else isn’t working. Do I have vip double forzathon points etc.
I fixed this by purchasing the treasure map again using another MS account.
- Start and enter the game
- Start MS store app
- At MS store app, logout your current MS account, and login with another MS account
- Switch back to the game, open map press Y, it allows you to buy the treasure map now, and all bonus boards and barn finds shall be displayed on the map
- Go back to MS store app, switch back to the original MS account
- Enjoy
Please note, this will make you pay again for the map. If you don’t like it, please wait for a fix from the dev.
I am having the same issue, i sold my xbox and converted to PC a year ago so i am also without a treasure map and i am almost done FFS

Windows 10 - preordered the map.
Didn’t work right from the start. Always wanted me to purchase the map again from the windows store. Now I am level 186, discovered all barn finds, discovered all the roads, did all the stories, smashed almost all bonus cards except of two which are unreachable so far and five are not uncovered yet. Played the most time in single player mode as the connections got constantly lost. And nothing is more fun to get almost 1 000 000 skill points through stunts when you get a network error and all your progress is lost at once.
So for these five cards I will not buy that treasure map again…
The barns are really easy to find, found them all in under a minute after entering the purple rumour circle. Just look for some roads that did not appear on the map, but are visible for the player on the screen. In 90% of the cases they lead you directly to the barn.

I got an answer for my ticket. They closed it and said that the issue with the barnfinds is solved. They clearly didn’t even read what I wrote! 
Anyway, I have a pic with all the boards now. And I have all the barnfinds already.
Still, we paid three bucks and deserve to be able to activate the treasure map in the future. There will be two DLC with new maps which I already paid for.
The same for me, wrote twice to them about Treasure Map and other bugs, but they marking it as “Solved” with next text:

This is a known issue in Forza Horizon 5. and has been fixed for new versions.
Purchasing the ‘Treasure Map’ DLC will start to restore all Barn Finds instead of just revealing their locations
At this time, we don’t have any follow-up questions or steps for you to try. I am marking this ticket as “Solved” and we will post an update to the support page and twitter (@Forza_Support) when we have more information.
Thank you for letting us know!"
Thats really not nice when you paid 100$ for the game and they not even reading your text. 
Sure they getting lots of tickets now, but lets respect each other !

This is why we developers get a bad rep…
I just got the same exact reply in my ticket… It’s very frustrating to see that they don’t even read the initial ticket and just say the problem is solved while it clearly isn’t…
I still replied to their reply though and also sent a link to this topic so they can see how many people have that problem.
just reply and the status changes to ‘open’. It’s pretty sad that when you buy a product (even pre-order) you still get treated like horsesh*t on these Forza tickets. They don’t even read the questions and just change everything to ‘solved’ with a copy paste message. Thanks ‘Battleman’ for helping us out…
