The attitude is for some a least ramming when they are doing it is fine, but when it’s done against them they don’t like it and call it unfair, nothing more to say that explains it all.
I do not want to open a new never ending debate but some gamertags are famous on Eliminator. It was true on FH4 and it will be true on FH5.
Every regular FH4 Eliminator players know Oldshoolmadmax for instance.
I used also to meet digital friends on FH4 Eliminator rounds, not everyday but sometimes.
In spite of the popularity of this forum, I’m sure that some players will continue to camp close to the border and KOO mode will continue to be activated.
By the way in my last « fake » video (FH5 The Eliminator Best of Summer 04) you will see in bonus track a nice KOO action followed by a new top one.
Please do not hesitate to see it and to click the unlike button. By the way, in the first sequence of this seasonnal best moment I rammed my opponent from the bridge, when he tried to overtake me. I find it pretty fun but I know it’s bad, I should let him win to be a perfect looser gentleman.
Played a few thousand rounds of FH4 Eliminator and never heard of them. Maybe I have encountered them but it can’t have been memorable.
Loved the KOO youtube video. Keep em coming. Eliminator is brutal survival mode. Rules are there are no rules when it comes to last man standing.
KOO isn’t actually a thing, doesn’t exist apart from in the minds of a few individuals. lol
BTW I tried KOO in the last circle in Lvl 10 Funco. But this stupid car did a wheelie and jumped over the opponent and I ended up eliminating myself. LMAO. Had a great laugh !!
Moral of the story… Don’t use Funco to KOO.
Yep, sure you did.
I just got to 4th in the eliminator by doing nothing in the starting Beetle just kept hiding, 30k XP for doing nothing cant be bad lol
OMG @Bob_Maloubier73 you are a monster, I just got the game and wanted to give this game mode a try but you made me want to never touch it ever
Holy necropost Batman!
Almost 2 years!
not true - there IS a code of conduct as already noted above
I’ve not noticed that, I’ve had an empty timeout bar and got killed immediately after leaving the circle, nowhere near 5 seconds.
It seems to vary from game to game. A lot of the time, I can leave 4-5 seconds early before the final no problem if the timeout bar is empty.
Never 5
If everyone basically subscribes to the concept of win at all costs then this is fine. So Fortnite, World of Tanks, whatever - the aim is destruction.
Forza Horizon 5 is not really such a game. If enough people view it as “unsportsmanlike” then it might well run into terms of service violations. Nothing’ll happen about it but that doesn’t mean you’re not annoying a lot of people.
Take a step back to look at the bigger picture, there’s a lot of Bad Stuff in the world. Messing up someone else’s enjoyment makes for even more Bad Stuff. It might be small but it’s still Bad. Why increase the amount of Bad Stuff even more?
Here’s a similar situation. Take football (proper football - Association Football). Getting fouled is not really the spirit of the game. Yes, it’s something that happens but there are sanctions for doing it. It annoys the opposition and a lot of neutrals.
Now imagine you are actually playing the game. Put yourself in the real physical situation. You foul someone. If it’s a top-tier match you might get abused verbally. If it’s a much lower-tier match you might actually get attacked physically.
The main difference I see is that when you’re behind a screen no-one is going to attack you. But the principle is the same.
Oh I see, you mean the famous code of conduct.
### Unsportsmanlike Conduct
this one is simple: any evidence of players intentionally ramming, wrecking, pinning, pitting, spearing, shoving, and blocking in any online race will see action taken against them.
*We always review the submitted video evidence fully, and we understand there could be scenarios where Player A might’ve frustrated Player B for the entire race, just for us to see Player B retaliate with a ram of his own. Do not fall for this trap! Rule of thumb, always play it straight and honest, and you won’t see any suspension time. Be the better player, don’t retaliate, and just report!
Our moderation team will also evaluate unsportsmanlike conduct violations in the context of the game, whether it be Motorsport or Horizon, where we may be a little stricter when it comes to Motorsport races.
The famous code of conduct is designed for … online racing. By chance The Elimnator mode is not a race. Did you notice that they speak about a battle royale, the competitors are not racer tey are named drivers, the aim is to challenge the other drivers in the arena
The Eliminator is Horizon’s take on the Battle Royale! Up to 72 players battle to be the last one standing. Honk your horn at opponents to challenge to a head-to-head, then win to eliminate them and upgrade your car. Keep an eye out for Car Drops as another way to upgrade, and stay away from the the ever-shrinking arena wall!
There are different rules for F1, Nascar, Demolition derby as there are different rules for online racing, Eliminator, Wrekfest. But maybe somebody are going to explain that the code of conduct of online racing should apply. Come one guys!
When you put it that way I might actually try this game mode
Sounds fun
eliminator isn’t racing, all contact is fair. if I get demolished I quit and start over.
To paraphrase Human/Vulcan second in command Spock: Its racing Jim, but not as we know it
Here he is talking about the Orange loser
fair enough, there is a “final race” but I also think contact is inextricable from the format.
good luck keeping that meme up, it’s probably already been reported by every r-ssian hacker on the forums
