FH5 Teredo issue

Network Error

Microsoft really needs to address this issue. I paid premium price just for this game to not let me connect to anything, from day one! I have tried everything under God’s green earth to fix my teredo bullshit. How do I get it to work, so that I can at least connect to the Horizon life servers. In FH4 I could at least connect and then get disconnected 3 seconds later, however in FH5 the situation is really bad.

I have tried the whole command window editing, with changing it to enterprise client and so and so. I have enabled all the IP services. I have done everything at this point.
I need your help guys. What do I do?

Bit Defender ? the Bit Defender firewall used to screw the Teredo protocoll since Forza Horizon 4

But I don’t have Bit defender though?

I really do not understand that. The problems with Teredo exists since i played Forza Horizon for the first time on PC in version 3. I was so happy, that one of my friends finally bought FH5 and we could play together. Guess what? Of course he had problems with Toredo. Nothing helped. He used the and even used my old batch file, that normally fixes the Teredo issues. But nothing helped so he refunded the game. I am so disappointed.

Anyways, maybe those tips can help you.

Create a text file called teredo.bat and edit it with notepad or editor. Write this in it:

netsh interface teredo set state type=enterpriseclient
timeout /T 5 /nobreak

Save it. Next right click on the file and execute it as an administrator.

Next try the game network repair function (Windows 10 or lower, my Windows is in German, so it might look a little bit different in your language):
Right click on start → settings → games → network → repair

After that you have to restart your PC.

Windows 11 does not have that function anymore.

@Destroyer961696, it’s best to first check and see what xbox network test says in Windows itself.

start - settings - gaming - xbox networking (what results you get here), if its blocked, then its either something in windows is blocking it (teredo / firewall / antivirus / 3rd party apps) or its your router that blocks it if you have one.
Second, open command prompt as administrator and type “netsh interface teredo show state” , look in the teredo parameters results at “TYPE” it should be anything but disabled.
