Yes, but VUHL was released in July 2021, when Forza Horizon 5 was already announced. Up to this point we had 3-4 cars added to FH4 monthly (mostly recycled models but still).
Anyway, I’d like to think that the last Car Pack for FH5 (JDM Jewels) was a hint about where FH6 is taking place
Yamauchi and Chris stand side by side on stage and shake hands. FH5 for PS5, and GT7 for Xbox. This is how it should have happened.
It’s a dream that can’t be realized now though.
If you let the current PGG recreate Japan, it would probably look like this.
The roads are North American-style right-hand traffic. All the cars on the road are LHD. They believe that Japanese cars are the same as American models. They believe that Japanese public roads follow American traffic laws.
If I, a Japanese person, saw it, it would be an extremely strange scene.
I sincerely hope that this won’t happen, but my wish will not be granted. Because many of the people on this forum don’t question the fact that Japanese cars are not JDM.
True, and the naming of both the consoles causes so much confusion. Like some people don’t know the difference, like I had to explain to 3 or 4 people, or like someone I know bought a Series S thinking it had a disc drive.
Me personally having two consoles at launch especially with different hardware specs was a bad decision. Meant developers had to to make changes to the games they were developing.
Then the mid cycle refreshes for the most part sucks.
Series S has outsold Series X by far, and its spec supposedly makes ports to handhelds easier, which is a potential future bonus for MS. SX was just a halo product that was meant to see if PS4 buyers would return to the fold, but they didn’t.
The main problem with this generation was losing the last one: because of back compatibility (and possibly quality games and the system your friends are on) people aren’t moving from PlayStation to Xbox, which means Microsoft have lost the next generation of consoles too, if they actually make one. They’re just selling upgrades to existing customers and less with each iteration.
They’ve invested billions in Nokia, Windows Phone, Zune and Groove to name just four things that have been shuttered. Xbox as a physical commodity is likely dead.
Once again, no one apparently is understanding the point I’m trying to make. Instead, you all have to feel like you’re on a high horse rather than act civil and try and think from other people’s perspectives.
I’m also one of the people wanting GT7 or next GT game on PC, but I doubt it will ever happen. Competitive scene of GT7 is huge and Sony invests lot of money in it, bringing PC in means forever battle with cheaters… We see that happening in FH5 all the time…
Yeah thats how it is. Up until recently, i realized when my monthly subscription expired because Id go into the game and a ton of features would be greyed out.
Exactly, it should be about the games above all else. Most generations I’ve only bought Nintendo consoles because I’m a fan of most of their first-party franchises, and that’s the only way I’ll be able to play them. (Fortunately the Switch has been an abundance of riches in that regard!) I had a PS1/2 when I was younger but skipped over the PS3, and then years later I got a PS4 Pro on sale to play some of the first-party titles I’d missed out on. If something’s multi-platform I’m always going to buy it on PC, because I trust Steam’s digital infrastructure far more than any console manufacturer’s. And playing the waiting game has worked out, because first MS and then Sony realized that, oh hey, we’re missing out on untapped sales here and brought their first-party franchises to PC too. (Granted my rig is a potato by modern standards and I can’t even run half of the new titles they’re adding, but hey that’s what new builds are for!)
I don’t think an Xbox decision should be discussed in a forum dedicated to a specific game. It’s pointless, and imo a bit disrespectful towards the devs. And yes, I prefer to play on Xbox, looking forward to Series X 2 or Series Y or Xbox 5 XL or whatever that next box will be named.
As long as the servers can keep up, and as long as it’s cross play enabled, and as long as it means that our games don’t get delisted in no time due to licenses (FH4, FH3, FH2…), all good. They SHOULD get rid of forced subscription for online play though, ah dang now my closing sentence killed my opening argument, long day it was…
If they use Nintendo as an example to talk about the importance of first-party franchises, then it applies to Microsoft as well. I hate this kind of double standard the most.
