Logitech G920 deadzones for accelerator and brake not working in preset profile. Major issue considering throttle can’t go past 95% and brake is as many know limited to 75% travel.
If I create a custom profile, the steering axis is inverted.
Headphones issue: Realtek HD sound card (onboard SupremeFX on Asus strix z370) and Logitech analog headphones (g203)
Sound keeps getting redirected to the Nvidia HD audio device (my monitor!) even after changing where the audio should go via audio preferences panel in windows 10.
All of the above working as expected and flawlessly in horizon 3.
Same for me, i’m playing on PC and have a constant 10% throttle and brake applied at all times and neither will go past about 80% application. Playing with the deadzone sliders does nothing. Makes it unplayable with my steering wheel.
I submitted a ticket about this last Thursday, no response yet…
I would really like Playground Studios to at least acknowledge that this is a glitch and is something that they are working on to rectify. I’ve been through all the official known issues etc and cant find a record of it anywhere.
Further to this, i can confirm that they have now responded to my ticket and sad they are aware of this issue and are currently trying to solve it. They will post it as an update when its resolved.
I have the same problems on g920 + stick. Deadzones dont work. Plus grinding noise when i pass neutral while shifting, with whatever deadzone settings i use.
In Horizon 3 I managed to resolve the brake stamping issue with the G920 by dropping the “Deceleration Axis Deadzone Outside” down to 40. This meant only a reasonable amount of pressure was required to hit Reverse when playing Auto shift.
In Horizon 4 it has changed and I’m back to stamping on the brake for Reverse !! I’ve even dropped the Deadzone to the 20 minimum and its still too stiff to enjoy.
Needs a fix, or an option to calibrate your wheel in game may resolve this?
I was messing around with the .ini file for the controls last weekend. You can set inner and outer deadzones for pedals (accel, decel, clutch) there and it’s working. But it’s quite a bit of work to find the file. It’s hidden in folders with cryptic names and the file itself has a cryptic name, without any file extension and it changes everytime you restart the game. But the settings you’d change in the file, will stay (surely saved in the cloud).
I may explain how to do this, when i have some free time (not before tomorrow sadly). If that’s okay with the forum mods and if there’s interest in general.
