Hello everyone. I’m having freeze issue with my FH4. After 30 seconds into the game whether I press anything or not the game freezes and sound stutters (If I’m fast enough to get into the game).
Things I’ve tried:
Uninstalling and re-installing the game
Updating DirectX
Updating Graphics Card Driver
Uninstalling MSI Afterburner
Uninstalling RivaTuner
My specs:
i7 9700k (8 cores running at 4,6ghz)
16 GB DDR4 3200mhz
MSI RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio
game is installed on SSD.
I am only facing this issue in this game, no other game has any problem for me.
Can someone please suggest something because it is getting frustrating.
Start the game. You will notice the game will close itself and not start, but don’t worry.
Just start the game again, and it will start up fine and recreate the folder structure, it will also delete your local save, that’s why you want the backup.
If you see that all the folders are back, you can close the game again, you don’t have to wait for it to be fully started.
Now copy your backup wgs folder back to where it was (C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData)
Start up the game again (still offline).
Load the game normally after the game bugged you about the graphics settings.
The game shouldn’t freeze.
Drive around a little,
(I also changed my spawn location from Edinburgh Castle to Fairlawn Manor, just in case that had anything to do with it, but I don’t think so, so you can probably ignore that)
then you can reconnect to the internet, and connect to the online services.
I resetted the Forza Horizon 4 game in “Programs & Apps” (You can access there by clicking Advanced Settings). Game just adjusted itself I guess and my problem is fixed for now. I don’t know what will happen in the future.
the problem is with their servers, mine works fine for hours in single player. As soon as I connect to horizon life session, the erratic frame rates, freezing and miss-mash sync starts.
This is the same on console and pc and I have tried different routers, different ISPs…it can only be one thing.
