I’ve found a few listings on second-hand selling platforms and Ebay, offering this FH4 branded 1:64 diecast model of the McLaren Senna, similar to the pre-order bonus models in the past. What’s up with these?
I can’t find any official information on these, nor can I find any shop that sells/sold them. What I’ve found: they are made by MiniGT, licensed by McLaren, and Forza Horizon 4 branded.
Are they official Merch, maybe just as promo for conventions etc. ? Maybe something Microsoft has planned as pre-order bonus, which didn’t work out? I’ve been looking for something like that for quite a while, so I’m pretty interested in the story behind it.
They offer the cover car for each game since FH3 as additional limited pre-order bonus.
There is the Lamborghini for FH3.
The Porsche for FM7.
And now the McLaren for FH4.
Just google “forza gamestop diecast” and have a look at the photos.
It’s a standard diecast model you can buy from the manufacturer (not Gamestop).
The Forza labeled box is Gamestop exclusive though!
Gamestop (germany) orders these for their promo from the manufacturer.
When you didn’t get it via the pre-order you can only find it on platforms like eBay for ridiculous amounts of money.
I knew there were models as gamestop exclusive preorder-bonus for FH3 and FM7, in fact I got them back then. (And these two are the ones I find when searching on Google, but not the Senna.) But this year there wasn‘t any promotion whatsoever at Gamestop Germany or Gamestop Austria. They just listed some ingame Bonus. That‘s why I‘m confused…
