FH2 Music Track List and radio discussion

“Forza Horizon 2 features nearly 150 tracks across seven stations – more than twice as many songs and stations as the original Forza Horizon. You’ll start the game with three of the Horizon Festival’s stations pre-tuned on your in-car radio: Horizon Pulse, Horizon Bass Arena, and a new station called Horizon XS. Get ready to listen to music from artists as diverse as Chromeo, CHVRCHES, Nero, The Clash, and Jane’s Addiction. As you progress through the game, you’ll unlock new stations with an even broader variety of music to accompany your European road trip.”

“Train In Vain” by The Clash.

All other musical selections are irrelevant.

There’s an achievement with pretty much the same name.

Looking forward to this. Like I did in FH, I will be tuning in to Bass Arena and breaking off the tuning knob!

Radio Levante will also be nice. A bit disappointed in the lack of Bach but the Vivaldi will stand in nicely.

Indeed. The only artists I know come from that radio. Never heard of the ones from the other stations, well…the only exception would be The Clash.

This announcement literally just made my day. I’m overjoyed at some of the music included in Horizon 2! As much as I hate the term, I am a huge ‘EDM’ fan and therefore Bass Arena was my go-to station in the original game. First off, the announcement of Hospital Records Radio blew my mind. Drum & Bass? Yes PLEASE! I really am blown away. To further that excitement, my favourite sub-genre of ‘EDM’, Deep House, is included this time around and so the following tracks from Bass Arena have me grinning like a kid at Christmas:

“I Got U feat. Jax Jones” by Duke Dumont
“Changes” by Faul & Wad Ad & Pnau
“Running (Disclosure Remix)” by Jessie Ware
“36” by Redlight
“Survive” by Kidnap Kid
“Here For You (feat. Laura Walsh) (Extended Mix)” by Gorgon City

Not to mention on that same station there also a few more of my favourite tracks. Amazing work on producing this soundtrack and I know for sure that the other stations will have other people excited too.

Sorry for the long post, and it’s actually my first in a long time, but I really am very excited.

There is some great music on this list. However, I know this game is developed by Playground and them being a UK developer means a little more UK “inspiration”, but I’m bummed there is no country music on here. I know the game is set in Southern Europe and I’ve never been there, but I can imagine country music is pretty much non existent there, but it would have been nice to drive to some good old country in an American muscle car.

Well I been to southern Europe and was born and raised near southern Europe in Tauberbischofsheim, Germany and pretty much no one in southern Europe and mainland Europe as a whole listens to country music.

tbh it looks like im going to be playing with the radio off again

You and me both. Guess I’ll just listen to local radio that plays classic rock, or country.

I’m happy with the radio stations. Great to see some ‘not so known’ bands/groups being part of the game! Pretty awesome to see Chromeo and the Hospital Records being a part of Horizon 2.

I won’t be listening to anything but ‘Radio Levante’. One never gets tired of listening to classical music while driving - or doing anything else for that matter! Classical music rocks!

The music is so lame… Guess I’ll be listening to the carsounds anyways…
How about some rap…? Cruising while listening to A$AP Rocky or Schoolboy Q would be hella awesome!

Edit: Faul & Wad Ad vs. Pnau - Changes is actually pretty good.

Driving around listening to cassical is better imo. It gets even better when you start a race and ride of the valkyries begins to play. Even the William Tell Overture makes the start of a race awesome.

Looks alot of cruising without the radio again, jeeze, it is so hard to program a classic rock station? It must be… Not a single track in this list I like, not a single GENRE I like. You’re basing a game in the freaking UK, how can you guys miss out so freaking hard on classic rock? Some of the best bands in rock and metal are freaking British!

Ya know…

Pink Floyd
The Doors
The Beatles
Whitesnake
led Zeppelin

I can come up with a classic rock station with a track list that’s all about road songs, and you don’t even have to pay me, why did they waste their money on Rob Da Bank?

needs rush, i love cruising to rush lol

I couldn’t agree more. Although I like Electronica, and will likely enjoy this soundtrack, it is SORELY missing some rock tunes. Both new AND old school.

Although I agree with you totally.

The Doors WE’RE NOT, ARE NOT and WILL NEVER be a UK Rock Band!

how old are you? 12?

I’m a little disappointed by the lack of a Classic Rock station, would have been great to cruise with songs like Highway Star on.

The Classical station is kinda making up for it through… the only station I will be listening to.
