I’ve noticed nobody made a thread about this yet and that nobody has even tried to focus on the soundtrack a little since it is a game based around A MUSIC FESTIVAL :smiley:
anyways what are your favorite songs that you hope to see in the game that would fit well in a Southern European setting, I’m sure there will be Electronic music just like the first one which I was very fond of and I hope Bass Arena makes a Comeback :smiley:

Ideally I would like to have classic rock, country, Indie, alternative, pop-punk, post-hardcore and metalcore to listen to while driving… or doing anything for that matter.

definitely some sort of metal station. considering they said there would be 6 radio stations, I wouldn’t see it as unreasonable.

I’d like a Drum ‘n’ Bass station, but only with the classic artists/tunes from, Dillinja, D minds etc. so I can go mental whilst driving a mental car like an LFA lol. Doubt I’ll pay much attention to the music, as it generally gets on my nerves, the engine and exhaust is my kinda music.

lets hope there’s some metal etc, the music in FH1 was dire all dance/rave stuff, so annoying, which was a shame as i like having the radio on, i liked the GTA approach with different stations with a mixed selection of genres such as GTA4’s grunge channel :slight_smile:

Metallica would be perfect.

Disco would be hilarious but kinda cool

Country would be great for the heart break associated with losing a race due to the chaotic tactics needed to win in multiplayer

Gangsta rap (hopefully with an option to turn off language edits) would be great. Gotta keep it real

Another station for the terrible music that wins a lot of awards.

A lil old skool rap (with an option to censor it when your mom comes in the room lol…and by the way…im a grown man so there will be no censorship in my camp!!)

Alternative rock (old skool Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Staind, Korn, P.O.D)

Some new pop music (that WILL be censored in my camp!!)

Techno station - Adam Beyer or Chris Liebing hosting.

Annie Mac Presents station - Annie Mac hosting obviously.

Drum n Bass/Dubstep/Trap station would be good - Sub Focus hosting.

EDM station - For the kids with Hardwell hosting.

Things like Hip Hop and Metal would just take you away from the vibe PG are trying to recreate.

Yet hiphop is commonly played at clubs/parties to get people to dance/have fun among the younger crowd, but also the older crowd. It would easily accomplish the vibe desired. Just would have to choose the right “club banger” songs.

Motown and some pop songs (like from lady gaga or katy Perry) would accomplish the same vibe. I’d get a kick if “I’ve kissed a girl” was in the game. That’s a perfect song for the vibe the game tries to project and if you don’t agree then you have not experienced the joy that song brings in party atmospheres.

Metal, yes a bit different, would still be cool when your sick of listening to the same dance songs. Don’t know many who can listen to skrillex and nero all day everyday

I love (so-called) ‘EDM’ - most of its sub-genres.

I’d love for there to be a deadmau5 track or two on the playlist but that’s probably unlikely.

Given that the setting is Europe, I think some deep house would be great; it’s huge in the UK at the moment. Artists like Route 94, MK and Mark Knight would be more than welcome additions.

Other than that, I’d definitely like more progressive house as I felt that was lacking in the original game on Bass Arena.

Finally, a station dedicated to trance would make my entire year. I’m a huge fan of the late 90’s to early 00’s trance tracks and would like nothing more than the inclusion of a few. Tiesto is my favourite artist of all time, though his recent stuff is not to my taste, but chuck Adagio for Strings, and Traffic into FH2 and that would make for the best ‘hot hatch down a twisty mountain route at midnight’ kind of driving EVER.

Of course, I expect none of these wishes to materialise, but they’re noted here just in case. :wink:

Jazz is quite popular in france and would fit the vibe.
Although i imagine most would hate it.

I personally woud’nt mind no soundtrack. If xbox could be bothered to bring the ingame music player back, it will never be a problem. Then we can choose our own.

I just hope that they will put in something that fits… just like GTA has done a couple of times. And please, the rock station needs more than 3 songs, I don’t want this game to be dominated by dubstep too.

Dubstep is out of fashion these days, It’s all about Deep House & EDM right now.
