hello, is emuwheel necessary for best experience with Forza 7 and steering wheel? My new wheel (t300) just arrived and i want to know what to prepare before i wire it all up, thanks!
I’m guessing the title was changed to “UP: [PC] Thank the gods, Pray for [XBOX]” because emuwheel is available for PC and not Xbox? The feeling on Xbox really isn’t that bad even if I don’t expect any more real changes to happen on the part of T10. They are probably working on the first expansion, whatever that is.
Can someone please help me? I’m using a Logitech G27 wheel…well, in reality the PC thinks so anyway, but in fact I’m using a Leo Bodnar wheel via the GIMX software(a program that emulates the G27 wheel). Forza 7 recognizes the wheel as a G27 but I am getting no force feedback what so ever. Tried all kinds of FFB settings and the wheel remains dead in and out of the race. All other buttons and steering/brakes work fine, and the FFB works in every other game so it’s not my connection. Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated thanks.
Hi guys. I want to start out by giving FirstPlatoLV a huge thanks for his Forza EmuWheel app. FirstPlatoLV if you’re reading this hello my friend…It’s Isamu from over at the VJoy forums. Congratulations, this is a wonderful app
You see, I am using a Leo Bodnar FFB wheel but I’m also using GIMX, so that my PC thinks it is a G27 wheel. This solution has been working flawlessly for me without the EmuWheel app for about a year. Since the PC thinks it’s a real G27 wheel, I’ve had absolutely NO problems with any racing games…until now, with Forza 7 and Forza Horizon 3. Both of these games DO recognize my Leo Bodnar wheel as a real G27, but for the first time ever in a racing game, neither of them delivers force feedback to the wheel. Very very strange. I was pulling my hair out and and becoming extremely frustrated because of this, and was just about to give up on Forza 7 altogether. But now, with this Forza EmuWheel app, the game for some reason delivers force feedback to the wheel. I’m familar with VJoy so I installed it and configured the app. Although I’m still using GIMX to connect my Leo Bodnar wheel from my laptop to my PC, using the Forza Emu wheel app has solved the no-FFB problem.
FirstPlatoLV…I’m sure we’ve both been following the developments of Shaul and his VJoy project for a long time. I have been hoping someone would release an app that finally takes advantage of his FFB feeder implementation and use it to our benefit. Congratulations on bringing out the best VJoy has to offer, harnessing its power, and building an app that makes games like Forza playable by unconventional methods.
I never thought I would need this app, because GIMX turns my wheel into a G27 and as you know, ALL PC racing games support it and works flawlessly with it. But for some reason I just can’t get any FFB out of this game without the Forza EmuWheel app. FirstPlatoLV perhaps you can shed some light on why this is? Even people using OSW’s with GIMX can get FFB out the game. Strange.

the ffb in FM7 is miles better than FM6. Sure would be nice if they would configure for the fanatec handbrake though…every other major racing title on xb1 has…
Looks like sarcasm to me but if I had to guess T10 has made about all the major changes they will with FM7 and all attention now is on the expansions. This takes us deep into 2018, at which point they will be turning attention to FM8. If you want changes from where we’re at, start wishlisting those things for FM8 now.
Everyone playing on PC should give EmuWheel a go round…changed the game for me! Won’t play it without using from now on…biggest improvement for me is in cornering. I sit there with a big grin as I continue to beat old lap times!
