Festival Playlist Preview (S27)

@AnakalaRon, @TheGillesMuller

Thank you both for the responses. Me personally, I like (sort of) the mustangs, but I strongly [redacted] those EVs.

And @BunkeredThrone3,

I can not play every day due to various reasons. It takes just about everything I got to complete the 20 pt cars.

I originally + wrongly thought the update adding the new tracks in was tomorrow for some reason so I was on Bosque with the Trial cars initially.

I created a quick blueprint to see what cars came up in Mustang vs Camaro and sadly the HW Mustang, Camaro Exorcist and Deberti Mustang weren’t there or else I would have tried those too.

A clear winner here on both…

Bosque Del Sur

Camaro ZL1 '17 (SulexPagMan ‘Balanced’) - 2:25.028
Camaro Z/28 '15 (SulexPagMan ‘Balanced’) - 2:27.097
GT500 '13 (cezar013 ‘Full aero’) - 2:28.398
Shelby GT350R '16 (geist) - 2:28.532
Mustang RTR Spec 5 (cezar013 ‘Full aero’) - 2:28.774
Mustang GT500 '20 (LetDaddyRace) - 2:29.049
Camaro ZL1 1LE '18 (Cashless) - 2:30.400
Mustang GT '18 (cezar013 'Full aero) - 2:30.551
#88 Mustang (DRAGON MSU) - 2:31.585
Mustang Mach-E (oliverb81) - 2:33.921
Camaro '69 (TGM, 898PI) - 2:34.555
Copo Camaro (TGM) - 2:34.855

@CashlessPlains8 also put in a time of 2:31.618 with a '79 Camaro while I was on here, a very good time for a much more original and left field choice than most of the cars I’ve tried here.

Vista Del Mar Sprint

Camaro ZL1 '17 (SulexPagMan ‘Balanced’) - 1:58.652
GT500 '13 (cezar013 ‘Full aero’) - 2:00.120

#88 Mustang (DRAGON MSU) - 2:01.555
Camaro ZL1 1LE '18 (Cashless) - 2:01.638
Camaro '69 (TGM, 898PI) - 2:02.689
Mustang Mach-E (oliverb81) - 2:03.874
Copo Camaro (TGM) - 2:04.066

A bit about Vista Del Mar…

Any car with worthwhile handling should be able to accelerate all the way up to the first tight left, stick to the left from the start if you can and swoop across just brushing slightly over the grass.

Brake earlier than the suggested line says for that corner and be careful not to go full throttle too early on exit.

The roundabout section looks daunting at first but there is actually plenty of space to work with, if anyone else goes on there before the Trial tomorrow try getting used to crashing through those Horizon boards on the exit of the roundabout for a better entry into + to straighten out the corner after.

All the 90 degree corners on the course are best taken with early braking and on the inside.

Last corner the same as above and get on the power as soon as you know your car won’t understeer and fly to the finish.

And finally go to your nearest shop/supermarket and do the lottery if you don’t get clattered into on that 1st left Thursday.

I have a RWD Camaro ZL1 1LE that I think is shared. With the body kit you can fit some really big tires under that car. Definitely a fun car tune and race with. I also have a nice GT350 tune. It’s AWD and full aero and is really better for circuits than sprints.

I am happy we finally get to use the camaro z1l…love all the versions since fh4. People underestimate it. It has great handling, off the line speed, and the le model sounds cool.

Thanks! I lucked out and had focused on the ZL1 17 by accident. I DID work up the wrong GT500, but it’s a pretty straightforward design so I ported it over to the 2013 one. I feel pretty good where I’m at for the week. Thanks for your testing!

If only the mustangs had better handling PI…the new tracks which I suppose they are going to focus on this week require it. Looks to me like I might have to go for the camaro affter all. Wish their was more of a track based ford for this weeks trial though. I think most are equipped with 7.0 or under handling.

Wow this looks like a great update to Motorsport! Finally some actual content. Wait nvm just realised I’m in the wrong forums…

A little sad they didn’t do a new intro like to the Italian Automotive. Would have been a nice touch.

True but having a few new routes more than makes up for it imo. They’re a nice add.

What?? I didn’t know they had new routes! Thanks for the info!

Does anyone know next week’s Trial restriction? Geist didn’t show it here. I’d like to load up a @PlageBLN tune and livery a little early but I don’t know my options.

4 new routes, all road sprints.

This is from Max’s post near the top of the thread.

I know some won’t like a more dirt and cross country focused season but I really enjoy those race types and like tuning for them.

It’s interesting that tuners will have to prepare two separate tunes for the Pick ups & 4x4’s.

Thanks ShadowsBane & thanks @Scimmia22. Not sure what would be good for Pickups & 4x4s C600, I’ve never used that restriction outside of playing around with them stock (because the majority are C-class stock). And yeah, odd that there’s two Pickups & 4x4s championships but with different class restrictions.

The International Scout is always a good choice. I think it starts out at like D384, so it gives you a bit of room for upgrades for both events.

I don’t know if you have the new car pack, but the Silverado Trail Boss starts out in C class and should be pretty competitive for both events.

Looking forward to running the Titan race in B class.

I don’t have the new car pack yet, no, I’m torn on whether it’s worth it for the Silverado and Econoline. Not interested in the Czinger and from what Runoff has told me, it sounds like they butchered the Saleen with a recycled engine sound from the F5 and inaccurate specs. I’ve heard good things about the Silverado though.

Scout might work, I’ll probably give that a try. Thanks.
