I’ve just tried Neunelfer again out of curiosity, but had no problem with it. Jumped in my 2019 911 Carrera S and completed this particular championship for the third (?) time without it demanding that I switch from one car to another.
Bug? Switch off, switch on, try again?
I’ve sometimes chosen the wrong car for a championship, but this seems to be something different.
I ran it with the 2019 gt3 prize car at 998pi without any issues. It says it has to be in the 911 family but the Cayenne and Macan were used by the drivatars. What car were you using?
I just realized I made a mistake. It is the RR SPOTLIGHT, and I guess I got confused because they are both PORSCHE. As a matter of fact, it is doing it to me right now. I wonder if it is because I am on the new Xbox S? I will go back to my X and see if it is doing it there to. I did all 3 yesterday with my car, but I did not come in 1st. I just can’t remember what console I was on. Thanks a lot, and Merry Christmas.
Sir it is doing the same thing on my X console. I quit launched again, and I still have to buy a car. No cars are showing to select. This morning I was on my S and just started playing when we lost power, and the power has been out all day. When I launched the game this evening the game resumed exactly where I was when the power went out. I was not able to quit the game which I just found out the other day I must do each time. Could this have something to do with the glitch?
I did and it is correct. As a matter of fact, I made a mistake because I got confused because the 2 championships are Porches. It is the RR SPOTLIGHT. I did all 3 races with my car yesterday, but I did not come in 1st. Yesterday I was on my new S, and I know now I must quit the game when I am done playing. This morning I had just completed the Goliath when the power went out and was out for 6 hours. When I tried it again still no cars to select, I must buy a car. I quite relaunched and the same thing. I switched to my X, and the same thing happened.
I wonder if there’s something goofy with that championship in general. I somehow had a Drivatar show up with an S1-class Funco F9 of all things. Needless to say I had…questions.
One of them, RR Spotlight only works with RWD and Rear Engine cars, could be easy to miss.
I had initially wondered some of my already tuned Porsches weren’t showing up until I checked the requirements.
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I am about to pull what little hair I have left out. I think this game is purposely trying to make me crazy and doing a good job of it. Just now I entered the championship again, and it is still asking me to buy, and 2 cars come up. The 2018 911 GT2 RS, and the 2016 911 GT3 RS which I own, and have used in this race on Friday, and prior to that. I just did not come in 1st. Now get this I am still having to repurchase this car again. I have painted it black both previous times, with a 998-tuning setup, and I can’t recall if it was street or another one, but it was 998. The car is in its original color orange as if it was just added to my cars. This is the 3rd time I have to shell out the 250,000 credits for it. I remember the 2nd time which was Friday, I took a new car photo, and it showed no new cars in the photo. So that tells me I had already purchased it. I can honestly say I am also getting screwed out of my skill points. This is getting RIDICULOUS!!! Can’t believe I can’t use the d word which I put before good. On a slot site I used U.S.A.F. Ret for my id and was told it was offensive in some countries. Give me a break. Sorry for the long message.
I can understand your frustration. You’re working on the RR spotlight right? It requires the car to be rear engine and rear wheel drive. Most tunes convert the car to all wheel drive which will disqualify it from the event. I think that’s what’s happening. Can you reset one of the cars that you already bought, back to stock and see if it’s eligible?
Assuming that’s the case, it might be easier to run the races in a stock 911. If you want a tune searching by the championship name might filter to eligible tunes better.
I had a chance to run the championship today. Race 1 I ran a stock 16 gt3 rs and finished 2nd. It wasn’t too difficult but there was a runaway drivatar. For race 2 I added a maxed turbo and race exhaust. It was easier to run down all the drivatars. Race 3 dropped tire pressure to 26, reduced negative camber front and rear a few clicks, and increased the sway bar stiffness. Again a little easier to run down the drivatars. Listed the car as is for 200k but pretty straight forward to reproduce.
I left stability, traction and abs turned off, shifting set to manual. The races were pretty fun. Hope this helps.
Apparently, no one is fully understanding my problem which has nothing to do with the tuning setup. I have 2 eligible cars for this event. When I enter the first of the 3 races, I have no cars to select from. The only option I get is BUY. 4 cars to select from including the 2 that show I OWN them. It does not matter what car I select that I OWN. When I select my car, I am taken to the Livery Design screen to select a design, but I paint the car instead. I am still required to pay the 250,000 credits which I have already done. This is repeated for the next 2 races meaning I have to shell out another 500,000 credits. I know it sounds crazy and weird, but this is what I am facing.
If you own them, check that in your garage they are still S2 and RWD. It’s required for the rr spotlight. If the tune that you said you applied is AWD the game will do exactly what you describe.
If they are S2 and rear wheel drive you should enter a support ticket:
I did submit a ticket and they want me to take a video which would be a very long video, and I am not video savvy if you will, and I would not even know how to send it. One time I took a 60 sec video for another game, and it nearly took 6 hours to upload to my PC, and it never got sent. I believe if my cars were not eligible, they would not be showing up as eligible cars or am I wrong? It is just me, but I am not into videos when I play games. I play only for the pure enjoyment it gives me. I do not even make videos on my PC. Unfortunately, I have no kids to help me do and send videos.
For this championship you can own the cars and have them tuned to 998 and they might still not be eligible. In this case when you go to the race the only option the game gives is to buy one.
So when you are in the pause menu, choose the change car option and navigate to the 911 that you bought, it should be either the 16 GT3 or 18 GT2. When you have it highlighted, on the left just below where the stats for the speed, handling etc are there’s an icon that will say RWD or AWD. If any of the 16 GT3s or 18 GT2s say RWD and are tuned to S2 class then I would probably agree the game is out to make us all crazy.
I’m harping on this because it tends to cause a lot of confusion due to how the game presents it and… I haven’t seen where you confirmed they are still RWD. My apologies if I missed it.
The 2018 911 GT2 is 315k CR and has a 300k CR perk in the skill tree. You could buy one for each race and only be out 45k.
That’s the car I used. S2 910 stock, and I raced it stock.
I need to apologize because I was wrong about the setups. I honestly thought those 2 cars were RWD, but they are AWD. Even with a 55 in TV it is so hard to read the text on the screen. I should have just walked up to the TV. Too much of the text is white on a very light background. So now I have the correct setup, and the car the 2016 which I am using is now showing up. The problem now is my car is so fast I cannot control it at all. I am sliding all over the place. I guess it is because I at level 177, and I maxed out the perks. Also, I don’t want to drop below Highly Skilled because I would like to get all 3 championships so I can get the Backstage point. Again, I apologize to everyone for the confusion I caused. Yes, I have egg on my face
No worries, no apology needed or expected. I found it easiest to take the stock car, add the turbo in tuning conversions, add the race turbo upgrade and race exhaust. I think this put it at 944 pi. This will bias the car more toward speed which helps in street races. I only had to feather the throttle at launch and a couple of slower corners. If it’s still hard to control turn traction control on. Stability control will slow you down a lot and I don’t think it’s very helpful for this. Even with the rest of the tuning settings left default I could push the car pretty hard through corners.
Edit 2: traction was better with the tire pressures dropped to 26psi. If you are still having too low of grip there’s a little to be gained with more suspension tuning and maybe the front aero upgrade. The car has rear aero adjustability stock that you can play around with. It may unbalance the car too much but could help depending on where you are sliding around.
Edit: I was able to get an xsx recently so I moved my x1x to a 40 inch TV. I know what you’re talking about. It’s really dark and I can’t read hardly anything without getting up close.
