It’s the nature of online games to always be ruined by their communities. I’ve seen it in other games and Forza is no different. There are good people in all communities but we are in the minority, the majority of any games user base is comprised of idiots (I do have stronger words but forum rules…)

This is one of the reasons why I am against live-service and online focused games. It’s ok if you have a regular group of decent players who can play together respectfully but most people are dropped in with the toxic randos and that ruins the experience for anyone who wants to play properly

I noticed the AI’s getting more aggressive for a few months now. The last time I saw the kind of driving I saw this week in the Trial, it was in Destruction Derby on the PS1 which says it all really

I didn’t say or reference anything about you or your team, I’m not interested in any kind of conversation with someone who only seems to come to this side of the forum to incessantly moan, so one I don’t know why you’re replying to me here and two I don’t know why you sent me this in a message…

Completely unnecessary and you’ve created it all inside your own head.

Awful trial this week. AI took the extra crazy pills, teammates more concerned with ramming and wallriding than racing, and it turns out my '94 with it’s widebody kit is… decidedly not meta.

Still managed two firsts and trial was over in two races, but man was it stressful. Trying to pass rammy teammates in a 800 and change kilo car is nerve-racking. I had to be patient and wait for my moments a lot of the time. Without a quick, clean pass, I was dead for sure.

Still, was disheartening to watch a player bash off walls and clearly not have full control of the car keep ahead of me for half a race (same person twice too). I love being outdriven. I hate being out-meta-ed by a clearly worse driver. I understand that a game with this wide of a selection and this flexible tuning wise has to have a meta, and I also understand that I kind of shoot myself in the foot but choosing to utterly ignore said meta, but still frustrating enough to want to get it off my chest. Thankfully I won in the end, and won cleanly.

Will probably still keep the '94 MX-5 as is. I still enjoy it, in spite of it’s flaws.

No reason to run it but I love the track and know how most of the eligible cars can do on it, though I must have improved since I ran the Cyberster on there in Rivals the day it arrived as my time here is actually around 3.4 seconds quicker.

Really surprised to get a team with no Maserati, it’s arguably the most common and easily the strongest car available, that’s the only car I think could comfortably do sub 16 with a conventional build.

I don’t think many will so much as even look at the Cyberster but it’s a really nice car despite being both an EV and GT Car, 2 things that usually indicate a car will be pretty poor all round for road/street, top speed wise I didn’t even hit 180mph at any point but it’s really easy to drive, handles great for a GT Car and it’s ideal for auto obviously being only 1 gear, tune is by Destrukdi if it’s still available.

I’ll be running the worst option of the lot later on the Davinci, probably one of the only cars in the entire game who’s best road/street build uses Offroad tires lol.

bit of fun here from a while back

there’s a stunning picture of a horse in the thread, worth looking for that alone, though the . . . um . . . “discussion” gets quite funny

Yeah AI was absolutely on steroids, “Teagan” run 4:08 and me coming in second place with 4:18 with my '94 mx5, otherwise rather uneventful trial.

“Emerald GP” car choice includes Hyundai Kona '22 (Sports Utility Heroes) and Hyundai i30 N (Super Hot Hatch). Others from those two categories aren’t included (note - stock only).

This '18 Mustang RTR S5 made easy work of the RA side of things: 138 517 027

This Impala tune made smashing things up for the treasure challenge fun: 164 034 903

For the Northern Passage 225MPH speed trap I used the Ultima which has a high top speed: 130 969 803

For the other two PRs I used the #92 Porsche: 131 237 214. Just make sure to get a good long run-up.

For the “picking favorites” SC the Ferrari 458 Italia gave me the easiest wins: 838 306 724

This was a great update, series. The racecars are great to drive.
Almost wanted that some cars have the same treatment when you apply the race mods and felt better to drive.
Also wanted some real life tracks too. Idk, maybe the future of Forza is have Horizon and Motorsport combined in one game: a fictional map location and a bunch of real life race tracks too.

Let’s see what the “Retrowave” bring to us
I’m still need these cars to complete my collection. If some dev see this and wanna put in the forzathon shop pls:

  • Rossion Q1
  • Continental '62
  • Lotus 2-Eleven

Was looking forward to it and it turned out to be a completely damp squib.

The standard Continental even with a tune was the 2nd worst for me on here and the original F-Type 3rd, don’t know about the AMG GT though.

Resulted in an extremely easy win for the worst eligible car but I’ve always had a soft spot for it, haven’t used it here to take the mick I genuinely for some unknown reason like driving the car, plenty on my friends list have likely seen me using it in Rivals at some point, a very weak team makes it look better than it actually is here though, performance wise it’s complete trash.

Tune is by Marina RG, it’s a dirt tune that’s rubbish on dirt but I think somehow makes the Davinci the best it can possibly be at A800 on road/street, drags just don’t work at all for it due to it’s immense weight, tried a tune using them ages back when I originally tested all the GT Cars on here and it was over the 17 minute mark.

I used to be on his team every week til I stopped doing the trial first. no wonder they’re struggling!

I see a lot of frustration in the forums about the time commitment players have to make for winning weekly prize cars.

this week’s 20 point car took me 6 minutes, and it’s often quicker than that. it helps to have a plan, but it still shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes if you’re in a rush.

It took me 15 minutes

that sounds about right. I used to do the trial all the time for the 10 points but this way it’s in your own hands, not teammates

this is not really a race tune, but I love the way the new Bentley drives with the full sport upgrades. new jaguar is very similar. highly recommended, great additions to the generally weak GT category

An inexcusable two-race loss on my first Trial attempt. I went with the rental option (oh joy, another Trial without a single stock qualifier), which seems to handle well enough. A teammate and I wound up 2nd and 3rd on Plaza, but even though we both ran clean races we couldn’t come close to the runaway AI out front. The rest of the team was at the back…and I mean WAY at the back, somehow a few of them were a solid half-lap behind by the end of the race. I have no idea what the hell they were doing back there, other than failing miserably. I won Los Jardines going away (you can send it through that final chicane and blow by the AI), but once again the rest of the team was mired in fail, and two of them didn’t even finish the race. Like, these aren’t crazy hypercars here…how can people not handle this?

that shouldn’t happen
