Festival Playlist events and rewards June 20-27 (Summer S35)

I had to have some fun…drove my federale police car…I think it was a lot of fun. Especially pit stopping one of the AI before the tunnel and throwing them into the shadow realm :). Most fun I have had in a while…lights going just having a good time. No worry about winning…but still winning lol.

I have just ran the playlist to 20 points and noticed that the Treasure Hunt does not need a Bentley. I completed it in the Aston Martin Valkyrie. Any cars with wings I guess.

I found an issue with the Event labs this week significantly dropping framerate on PC (the rest of the game is a solid 60 FPS) with the Sunhaven one being almost unplayable.

I had serious frame drops on the event labs. I think we need to either start being more selective in the playlist choices and/or at least rating events on render complexity

My PC is pretty capable of running the game and I had issues so I’d hate to try these on a Day One Xbox One

Don’t know which team was worse, England earlier on or this lot…

Fortunately the game bailed us out with the bug giving the team the win, it was made worse by me expecting 2-3 good races with the other Exorcist user, I know that AcAw club and it contains a load of good players + tuners as I’ve seen them on leaderboards or used/still do use stuff from them.

But you can never underestimate how easily some players in this game can complicate something so simple, takes mere seconds to notice that SC is on Dirt and there are multiple obvious indicators of it.

Honestly I’m tempted to go back to single player’ing the SC’s after that, I’ve only been in this routine of doing SC’s in the first season for a few series now using co-op and yet it’s happened multiple times already, a bug working in the player’s favour is the only reason I didn’t have to redo it here, at least if I’m on my own I know there’s no chance of it happening even if it does guarantee I’ll have to do 3 races.

I really liked that event lab. Very nice. The s2 998 event lab island, though … did they mess with the physics? I was driving an Apollo that i drove a lot last week and it seemed like the stopping distance was cut in half. I didnt have fun with that one.

Interesting.
I ran the Aston Martin Valkyrie (2023), X, 999, RWD stock - didn’t trigger - Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro (2022), S2, 998, RWD stock - didn’t trigger - Bentley Blower 4-1/2 Litre Supercharged (1930), S1, 900, AWD - Unlocked & Found.
Seems to be a bug if some cars work for others but not all.

Thanks for checking out!! It was a little down on top speed compared to the other eligible cars but I thought it drove pretty good for it’s size.

Description says gravity X2. I picked a stock Atom because of that.

I used a Morgan aero for that, any car with a winged logo works. Morgan aero was good for 16 of my 20 points yesterday

I took a gamble that they’d allow this and shared a tune for it beforehand

uneventful. don’t mind the lack of traffic, during blueprint testing there were 2 massive pileups within the first 30 seconds, every single time. I guess I’d rather have a race than an obstacle course, although this was pretty much neither.

I think the unpredictability of AI traffic makes the races more interesting. Street races may as well just be road races without it.

the traffic is actually a bit too predictable for my liking, it’s the other drivers they make it a problem

the 20 points took 11 minutes today, the forzathon “great speed” skills took a full 2 minutes because they had to be triggered individually. usually with speed skills, they’re cumulative. an “awesome speed” or “ultimate speed” in sequence counts the same. not this time, had to stop and start for each one, took a minute to figure out.

No need to start and stop, you just need to stay below the speed needed for Awesome Speed. I think I just cruised along at 150 and it just keeps giving you Great Speed.

that’s ridiculous though, a few weeks ago it was “awesome speed” and ultimate speed counted toward it, I just drove in a straight line as fast as possible.

this is the first time I’ve seen them not count the higher skill toward the goal

Oh, it definitely should count. I got an Awesome and an Ultimate then checked and noticed I only had 1, so figured they somehow locked it this time for some reason.

yeah, after about a minute I started to wonder, and had only registered 1. I didn’t think of staying below speed though, that’s a good call, but shouldn’t have been necessary

The '17 Focus really is a strong car. Kinda ugly imo though. This go was my first drive in it, straight from the garage, but these werent my fastest times. But it was a really good trial. The person in 2nd had more heat off the line and had a great couple of first turns in both races. Getting around cost some time. And there were some good times for cars under the PI limit. Good stuff all around.

It really is a manual with clutch kind of car though. Theres a shifting penalty to worry about without a clutch and, at least how my car is geared, there were a number of times in both races where it was better to bounce off the rev limiter at the top of 5th instead of shifting. I didnt find that out until after these two races … shifting before going over the last crest on Ruta Norte really killed momentum.

In rivals i did a 2:03.4 something (jungle) on a less than perfect drive. #290 something. Will probably do 2:01s. And my car probably isnt in its best rivals build. I opted for sport chassis reinforcement for the sake of maneuverability in the races, but its probably not needed for rivals and the 80 or so pounds slows the 0-100 mph time down about 0.1 seconds.

I dont think i saw any non-auto similar tunes so i shared it. Work in progress though.

Doh. Probably should have read. Thanks for that. Im not a fan of event labs that mess with the physics.
