It just keeps getting faster!
Welp, I guess that qualifies as “top 30”:
Only one other car jumped the final line before the countdown was done, and it was a Funco that headed straight for the objective (and didn’t take the highway). In this case the Lambo on the highway was the answer.
Great job! I can’t stand that funco. It’s basically a dragster. No steering whatsoever but goes like hell in a straight line.
As I’ve said many times, you have to adapt your driving style to the Funco. Let off the throttle to steer, for starters; it’s got so much power and such a soft suspension there’s no weight on the front when you’re full throttle.
I actually did the Rally speed zone in the Funco this week.
Hummer EV best results with tire upgrade and sport weight reduction:
7:47.084 Titan A800 for #133, shared: 157 433 106
@Rayne_SE I see you at 7:43.947 - what build? and is there room for improvement?
It was my first run at the Titan with the Hummer. Certainly room for improvement.
My build uses tire upgrade, race weight reduction & first engine upgrade.
From early testing it seems like the best combination.
The car feels okayish.
Low speed acceleration is terrible and it pays the price of its 3 tons through the turns.
Only good thing is the low drag and thus high speed acceleration.
Tracks like the Titan are most fitted to it. Awful on Dirt and handling/acceleration CC tracks like Ek’Balaam.
yes, with either of our builds, only a sprint/trail car. if you have to stop and start, you’re finished
Thanks! The buggies can be tricky sometimes if you get too aggressive with the ARB’s. Let me know how some of the other tunes work out for you.
I liked the EventLab. Great course for Nascar-style clean racing, these really need to get implemented as races. I disagree with the negative points made about it, the jumps were fun, it felt a bit like a Mario Kart vibe. Good stuff, more of it!
Apparently it was intended for more S class and higher suspension vehicles. The creator didn’t expect it to be capped at A class.
What a team of absolute numbskulls, everyone apart from aliex was a total idiot, I counted 9 instances over the 2 races of me being pushed out or corner bombed by 1 of the others, were it allowed on here this post would be chock full of expletives because it’s the only way to accurately describe what a terrible bunch I was in with.
It wasn’t just me they were doing it to either they were all doing it to each other as well, I got pretty much spun out on the first corner of Mangrove then had that blockhead in the '15 WRX being a nuisance until the 2nd left after the water, when I got clear there is absolutely no way I should have been able to catch up, but dumb and dumber in the two '04 cars were so busy griefing each other that I caught up + sauntered past on the inside of the penultimate turn on the 2nd lap.
Didn’t even waste a tune slot on this and just threw something together myself for the '08 Impreza, probably the least used of the lot.
An awful, awful Trial, the most boring and over-used restriction with a side order of the worst team I have ever been in with in this game, this Trial and 4 of those 5 ‘teammates’ can get stuffed.
Thats the usual how my Trials go in 5 and 4 …
On subject of event lab, yes imo it could do without those pre corner jumps, but at th end those EL events give easy points for tourist drive, so I wouldn’t go bashing on them.
Would go bashing those Super 7 events, with some nonsense goal, using car that was tuned by Stevie Wonder. Most made to make other people suffer.
But at the end its live and let live.
If you want to swap misery, half of my lobby had an AR12 offshoot clan tag… Which always indicates quality drivers /s.
Also had to do all 3 races since 4 couldn’t best a single opponent one race.
But at least most of the ramming seemed to be due to incompetence as opposed to malicious intent. I don’t really know though since I only ever had to deal with them in first corner in the races. They were obnoxiously honking their horns and sending off forzalink messages. Funny how they can find those buttons but not the brakes.
I normally don’t mind carrying bad drivers, but obnoxious and bad… Yeah no.
It’s funny how usually a clan tag means a faster driver, but the AR12 tag (or one of its offshoots) usually means slower… And more obnoxious.
So being clanless is usualy taken as bad driver?
Ok well that might explain why I’m being honked at, pushed around and getting forzalink spam … after taking a win and dnf some of them.
Yay for online racing
I had one good driver in my race. They got away from the carnage at the start, I didn’t - special shout out to the driver who deliberately smashed into me at full pace on one of the early corners. I then missed a checkpoint trying to take too tight a line to avoid the same happening at the next corner.
What that meant was that we were denied what would probably have been quite a good race at the front. What might have made it slightly more interesting would have been to have split timers, which PGG clearly have the capability to do (see FH4 FFA) but haven’t bothered including, presumably because they are “too competitive”?
I used this one and lapped all of the drivatars except for 1 on the second race (it was up with the human drivers, so that was a bridge too far).
I used my “abomination” livery with the Mustang racing stripes and the Shelby cobra logo and the “this is a Mustang” comic.
Oh, and to the Hoonigan RS200 that went full send right before the last turn on the Rally Adventures speed zone… you keep doing you! That was amazing. My first failed run was WAY less cool looking than that.
I honestly don’t read anything into it either way. I’ve never seen much of an impact from the clans/clubs in this game. The only time it REALLY gets on my radar is if I’m in a lobby with multiples from the same club. But that’s pretty rare.
Though I, too, am clubless, so maybe I just don’t know what I’m missing out on. But I interact socially far more here than anything in-game.
