I got 1st place in both Trial races in a Mazda RX7 I tuned but that might be because my teammates weren’t very accomplished drivers.
I was going to share my times but after seeing the times from @TheGillesMuller, I think I shall refrain from sharing. 
I got a rare win, on the Bosque. I think that this was a combination of teammates being less able than me (I am mediocre at best), bad drivatars, and heavy traffic. My own tune was probably not a major factor, so like you I will not share here.
I’ll save you a trip to crazy town… The front of the fenders are mapped to the front bumper, back of the fenders to the rear bumper. It’s (dot dot dot) something.

I actually was able to patch over some of the weirdness on the bumper, but I couldn’t get the solid blue front fenders without ALSO getting blue on the rear fenders. It is what it is.
Oh. Awesome. Apparently s with three ellipses is forbidden on the forum. Weird.
@TheGillesMuller is an anomaly in an automatic! Very fast driver! 
I checked my times and its was about the same difference I see every week in rivals!

The HW Firebird looks cool, sounds great but is an awfully bad S1 car.
A chassis of A800 level and laughable aero can’t be compensated by Slicks+ tires and a marvelous engine.
If PG adds this engine as a swap it’ll instantly be meta.
That Volvo was a laugh on HW 
I can’t think of an S1/S2 car with such low aero values. I thought it must’ve been a typo, until I drove it. To make matters worse, it doesn’t even give the option for off road tires, so it’s completely useless to me. No weight reduction option either.
Why put such a cool looking car in the game if it can’t be used? Oh ya, Forza.
Thought I’d go near meta. Got held up a bit at the start but was waiting an awfully long time for anyone else to finish.
It makes for a good RWD drift car…. Bout all I can say about it.
We also “won” that race. Presumably due to the fact the AI non-finishers didn’t get a DNF.

There’s a nice backstory behind the new Firebird and I’m sure the creator is thrilled to see his car in the game but…
…I’m not really happy with this car from a tuning perspective.
I see people are slapping rally tires on it and AWD swapping and getting some insane speeds, but it can’t be very fun to drive that way considering the amount of understeer even with the stock race slicks.
It’s not even good for drag races.
Cool looking car but doesn’t have much to offer beyond that, in my opinion. Would love to be wrong and someone can tell me a good use case for it?

Trial has been fairly clean. I had some traffic issues at Bosque with the blind corners and elevation changes. I made solid contact with AI cars twice which severely impacted my lap time. Still finished with a commanding lead though.
If you want to keep it for road racing swapping to Rallies will only make it worse because the Slicks+ are the only thing that provide grip. It has S2 tires, S2 meta engine but in every turn you can tell how the poor base grip wipes the speed while the tires could handle so much more.
Mine is RWD on Slicks+, full rear tire width and centrifugal supercharged which required some of the “tuning tricks” to squeeze into S1 and it barely scrapes the 2:29s on Copper Canyon. On the Marathon it was slower than the Singer. It’s crap.

I’m really confused! I tried this weeks trial for three times already. My team always wins the first race and then after the celebration I’m kicked out back to free roam instead of getting to the second race, what kind of bug is this and am I the only one?
Try a reboot. That’s been a common issue for folks lately, and a reboot seems to help.

could be related to a hotfix that’s just appeared, I was being told my convoy had changed (I was not in a convoy as far as I know) and I couldn’t use Life, then the game closed itself and updated - just loading it again now
