Used my tune for the jeep…won second in 4:05…lacked speed but it was a dirt devil on the corners I made a scout flip in the 1st race :). Second and third run with my scout and k10 same results slower times. However, best time today was with land rover with offroad tires and the springs turned way down. Pulled 1:44 lap in pipe which for me was really good.
Congrats BravoSteelviper ! Very cool way to celebrate your milestone

Hehe. Well one of your tunes popped up for the Scout and it said The Trial sooo… Worked fine
Didn’t podium with it but that’s down to me. The poor Scout though, dwarfed by team human in full size trucks. I was scared I’d be smeared to a paste but they were all actual racers who knew how to drive. Totally ruined the whole Trial experience! Where’d all the corner bombers and griefers go ?
At least the AI were up their usual hijinks given half a chance, and that’s all they got.
Yay ! Great Trial we had Matey-Peeps, 2 out of 3 of course. I held back due to the Drunkatars bullying their way through, I had to hold back & prevent them from passing. Tactically played but at least we did win.
Nice one BSV ! A real pleasure to play with you ! ![]()
Get a load of this idiot - reported. You see them move across at start then put brakes on then proceed to be the lowest form of player you can meet.
Report them. This is the stuff I was talking about this week but I don’t know how to record the screen or that you could. That type of toxicity is uncalled for. He did it at the beginning of the race that was his only purpose to cause trouble.
I’m gonna be unpopular but…
Umm. OK, maybe it’s still the lingering buzz of having a great team earlier but, I’m not seeing what you’re seeing. I see a lot of initial jostling by a few including yourself. At least it looked like you had a line to pass a couple times early and hit others instead. It happens, to me all the time lol. What did jump out at me was at about 1:30 when it looks like you pretty deliberately pit him to the wall. After repeated bumper “taps” he looks to be trying to move right to let you pass through the tunnel and there the vid ends.
How were they the rest of the race and the next ? (presuming a two and done - EDIT - I think El Pip was the 1st wasn’t it, can’t recall for sure now) Or were you already done by then and left to find a different team ?
On corner they are reversing, that’s not a mistake. Putting their brakes on that far out from a corner will have anyone behind hit them. Yes i let them know not to keep turning into me but the damage had already been done by then. They had no intention of letting me pass. By the time i hit record the team is long gone. No point going any further. Joined a team of “real” players next, who didn’t carry on like that player, and had a good race. Anyway, that’s my take on it.
Oh and that Raptor was a p;ig of a car to drive but still, there’s jostling and then there is having a fit of rage and acting like an idiot.

I’d have to watch it again but if they reversed at the corner was it because they got jammed in the wall with no ability to go forward ? Anyway, easy (by which I mean totally worthless) to armchair quarterback it from here lol. I wasn’t in your seat, or theirs. These kinds of things are always a mess. Leaving when (or before, if it works out) my temper starts to rise is the best I find. Reporting… feels useless, but that’s me.
I usually do as well but this time irked me a lot. Basically they ruined race 1 as the vast majority of the team were all put at back and AI took off due to that players antics.
Anyway, they get sanctioned then that’s good, i felt that it was reportable in my eyes so i’ll leave it to the Forza people to do as they willo (which is probably nothing anyway…)
Only Trial out of several today that i ran and that i quit and only one where i didn’t finish on a podium ![]()
At first let me point out that the respective player is at prestige 3 and should know what he’s doing. If the early braking wasn’t intentionally done to cause trouble then he should have known that he messed up and not gotten mad at Rex bumping into him. Everybody would have driven into him in that situation because you simply don’t expect that somebody brakes that early and hard there. His behaviour afterwards is also telling.
The problem I see is that Rex retaliated which may result in him at least getting a warning if not a timeout. I know it’s aggravating the frustration and I’ve to force myself to not go full tilt in such situation either.
The Trial also didn’t went that well for me. One of the teammates thought it’s funny to push me into the houses on the right before the tunnel in the first lap of the first race. This resulted in me having no chance to catch up to the lead afterwards and I only finished 7th. Luckily the other three players that were left besides me and that waste of a player slot managed to win this by points. I did nothing to that player except trying to pass him which he obviously couldn’t have. This player came in at the back of the field in all three races and was the reason we even had to do three.
Players like these are a problem. Actually a massive one. Why is explained by a well known psychologist in the following video.
Listen what he says in that segment and at 8:24 about the “dark tetrad characteristics” of such people and what it means. We’re dealing with psychopatic and sadistic people and basically have no control mechanism for their proliferation online. Even if you report them they’ll only get a slap on the wrist in the Forza universe. At least the first couple of times. Such people have to be reined in directly and if that doesn’t works they’ve to be permanently barred from taking part in related online activities in general IMO.
One of the many reasons why I think that the lack of custom championships is a massive failure in fundamental game design that is in fact progressively ruining this game. I know that seems like an odd leap, but let me cook for a bit and I’ll explain.
One of the biggest issues for clubs (clans, guilds, etc), is that there is practically nothing in this game for said clubs, especially in the form of endgame activities. What should be the best way to play the game ends up being one of the worst ways to play. Clubs are actively stifled by the game’s design, as the player base is funneled (practically forced at this point) towards open-matchmaking modes.
This brings up two issues. One is that without Clubs being effective endgame solutions, it lowers the need for people to police themselves. There is zero motivation to curb any dark behaviours because clubs have no attractive values, so there is no reason to make yourself an attractive potential candidate. Without the threat of missing out, there are no sociatial queues that guide people towards what is or isn’t acceptable behaviour. That environment breeds narcissistic and sociopathic mentalities.
The second issue is sort of the flipside of the same coin. Communities can enforce rules that PGG can’t, and can enforce them by whatever means their leadership deems fit. Clubs that are too harsh will die out. Clubs that are too lenient will be avoided by those who wish for stricter rules. This process can in turn shape the community at large and start to form a general expectation of behaviour for the game. But with clubs so disempowered, it’s entirely up to PGG to enforce behaviour and shape expectation, and as we’ve discussed at length in the past they clearly aren’t willing to invest in the required tools needed to have any real impact: New Code of Conduct is example of PGG's Critical Thinking Failure . What they offer is mere lip-service.
So yes, I think that custom championships are our best solution to toxic online behaviour, both by empowering Clubs and by providing more single-player and convoy only endgame activity. Proper online reporting tools could also help, but they wouldn’t solve the underlying fundamental issues. They would just provide better countermeasures to those problems.
What the heck
Generally why I mainly race with my club and seldom with random players. We try and fill a convoy for the Trial and then at least we have some control over people’s behaviour
That is why I mentioned the scout in my post earlier flipping during my race. It was all fun and great sportsmanship till lap 2 of the second race. Then the guy got angry cause my jeep handled well. Kept trying to ram me and ended up flipping because he was on stock tires on glass basically in the mud. I was reigned in by grandma driving in fh4…so I am one of those that will back off or take a loss just to avoid the collision. The hilarity of it is you get nothing more for scoring 1st in these trials…but some folks ego’s cause them to do stuff like that. I would love to see a bit more effort for all of our sake who enjoy clean racing and the weekly forza’s. It’s my one day a week right now to do something…I hate to have it ruined by toxic folks who are just out to troll people. I hope you have a better redo or a better one next time.
Haven’t had a really decent Scout in any of the Trials i’ve ran. The 2 options i have found to be really bad is the Tundra and the Raptor tbh. Slow and clunky and just not on par with the other options available.
The CJ5 is good and same with the K10, i’ll admit i’m a bit biased toward them as i think they are great ![]()
The F150 was not bad either, i especially loved the little slides i could get out of it in the corners (having a decent lead helps of course).
The GMC K5 whilst really good a couple seasons back in the Swamp Trial just wasn’t up to it on this one unfortunately but then again a different tune may change that.
The Lambo was a laugh and a half (always is), for me it was like saying to the other cars “I’m gonna flog you cause i’m a Lambo, understand!!!” then it crawls over the finish line like “yeah, well i tried…still a Lambo though so show respect” ![]()
I think on a whole the Trial is fairly well matched in several vehicles. Apart from the one race i’ve already posted about, all my other ones were generally good with decently skilled players. I too had one other try to spear me in corners when i was in the K10, but that thing felt just so good, that it handled well enough to avoid the other player who ended up coming last i think (probably because they lost so much speed crashing into walls head on
).
Been awhile since i could race such a wide variety of vehicles that do well. I think i’ll spend some more runs on the Trial over the weekend

lykan surprisingly decent, set a personal best S1 marathon, tune shared: 180 566 704
Made a mistake from the very start here, when I was tuning the CJ5 I used 3 separate ones for individual builds and didn’t delete any of them after uploading the tune that I was happy with, so I mindlessly selected the 1st CJ5 that came up not realising it was arguably the worst of the 3, 8 more horsepower than the other two but substantially heavier, and the added worry of me being unsure/unable to remember if that build had the same ARB issue that made it susceptible to rolling that the other one did.
Started from the back on Pipila but quickly cut through everyone before we even got to the dirt due to the CJ5’s handling, first time I can remember DNF’ing everyone and honestly I wasn’t even driving aggressively due to the aforementioned uncertainty around whether it might roll on the 2 dirt corners.
The lack of top end speed hurt it for the first half of San Juan but it was much better in the second, it’s a nice but unremarkable track.
Little to say about the team, the most memorable thing about them is the LM002 user’s tag name lol, I guess he was too busy living up to his name on Pipila to do much actual driving ![]()
Tune is by…some idiot and the one that is available is a lot better than this one I accidentally ended up using.
Gotta say, DNFing the entire field ! Impressive.
