These two tracks simply don’t work in random co-op. It’s carnage - every single time.
Went against my philosophy and used a FWD '07 Civic on Drags to get away as fast as possible.
I’m a little concerned about this A-class Dodge drag race business. Can’t come better than 10th.
Yep, first try was freeroam, always worked before. Then tried in garage and still no go. Maybe the freeroam fail glitched it good. Maybe it’s just the spirit of horizon
Like I said I guess I was overdue for a bug lol.
The A class Modern Sports event would be so much better for a trial.
That said, I somehow managed to avoid any carnage in my trial races. Cruised around without incident in a fwd Corsa.
I found the trial was less trouble than I imagined both times I ran it(not by choice - game crashed), the A class modern sports car championship in the other hand wad crash alley on co-op.
Pretty sure you can drop the difficulty down as low as you want. What difficulty setting are you currently at getting 10th?
You can also do one of the eventlabs that’s a solo drag race. Still counts
Yeah Hatchbacks with randoms is always a gamble, but especially those courses.
I have a theory about ABS that maybe you can help confirm or deny. I think it’s trying to prevent loss of traction on all tires. Normally this is good, but in hatchbacks the rear tires loose traction way easier than the front during hard braking, and it’s not a big deal as most of your effective braking comes out of the front. However, if ABS is pulling back on the braking to prevent the rear tires from breaking traction, then it would severely obstruct the ability of the front tires to stop the car.
So you get randoms with ABS turned on who just literally cannot brake. Their cars are capable of stopping much faster, but the ABS system just won’t let the brakes put the power to the road. Add that on top of the fact that the average Forza driver is… not the greatest, and trials involving hatchbacks turn into disasters.
This is all based on some casual observations in game along with reading some complaints about certain cars on the forums, but maybe you can help me out. Do you have ABS on or off? I could test this myself, but the odds of my remembering to do so later when I play the game are low.
You have to go to custom upgrades (where you buy parts) and reset default parts. You can’t go back to stock in tuning menu. In tuning menu when you reset defaults it only returns all values back to default.
Thanks ! I must have been misremembering, thought I’d always done it through that reset.

2016 Vauxhall Corsa
Share Code: 337-722-339
This little Vauxhall is quick! Lots of power and FWD so be careful not to drive it on too deep as it does understeer on turn in. This car is winner in all the trial races I did with it.
07 Civic Type R Share Code: 146-563-026
This Civic has excellent handling and just enough HP to keep it up front. It really shines on the 2nd race. Run the Civic if you are looking for something that is a bit easier to drive.

No aero RWD “purist” tune. Car is very quick and handles quite well. The car Carrie’s a lot of entry speed and because of there being no aero it will push mid and off corner if you get on the throttle before apex.
GR Supra Share Code: 457-761-745
Very neutral and easy to drive tune. It’s a good seasonal tune more handling based RWD grip tune.

Should get you all 3 stunts this week, if you still need them.
Well….first Trial I lost in awhile. Destroyed everyone in my 2016 corsa but nobody else could drive. Won the 2nd attempt with more experienced drivers.
Seasonal tunes below (so far);
The trial: holiday rush

Would recommend Manual + clutch + sim steering for this corsa build.

Same tune/build from a couple of weeks ago. Seem to be a popular one and it works here.
2011 Subaru WRX “trail no aero” tune;

Was able to stuff the LS3 V8 in this car, in B class. Better for trails.
2013 Mini X-Raid All4 countryman “easy seasonal tune;
Share code: 667 234 799.
Never use this thing so decided to put together a fun b class trail build. Not bad for scramble either. Turns quite well with sim steering.
As an extra, I did a “forzathon” tune for the 2018 Dodge Challenger. Not that it’s a hard Forzathon but made a pretty good S1 sprint/street build with the V12 swap.

I don’t bother with PR stunts anymore unless I can be absolutely sure I’ll finish first try, like an easy speed trap or drift zone. The rest isn’t worth the effort (for me).
No idea why the Trial keeps getting easier and the PR stunts have such difficult-to-reach goals.
Trial is 2-3 races and 10 points. PR stunts are quick and only 2 points. Making the former easier and the latter harder is an attempt by PGG to accommodate players that moan about things being too hard and those that think they are too easy at the same time without having to code scaled rewards, which would be the better solution.
