Ferrari F50 Worth Buying?

So I have the F40, upgraded to 800S, is the F50 worth buying? How is it in relation performance wise to the F40? I absolutely love the F40 and it’s one of my favorite cars in the game. Will the F50 be as good?

I don’t have the F40, BUT I love the F50…sorry I can’t compare.

F50 is the better car!!

Do you mean upgraded to 800S?

If so the F50 is better. Check the leaderboards to find which cars are quicker.

The F40 is capable but the F50 is better.

Yeah, 800S.

I’ll probably get it, just so many cars I want to buy. Game is kind of a grind in that regard.

Its far from a grind. Credits are the easiest to get in this forza and it doesn’t hurt either that the prices of cars were cut in half.

Redeem your forza rewards credits and race in rivals mode and you’ll make bank. I usually clear 200 thousand after 10-15 laps in rivals and most is due to level up bonuses. I have over $70 million in the bank and I barely play and have all of the most expensive cars. Its a joke really.

Also F50 = boss status. Fun car for sure but F40 has superior looks IMO.

F50 def has the edge on the F40, especially online. You’ll be beating your F40 times straight away.

So much for Jeremy Clarkson calling it a bad car lol.

Jeremy Clarkson has this almost bipolar outlook of cars because while he has the eyes of an immature pre-pubescent boy when looking at the car, he is trapped within the body of a fat, aging and worn out old man (I mean this in the nicest possible way too, I find him highly entertaining).

Watch Chris Harris (young enough in both mind and body) drift and slide BOTH the F40 and F50 here:

Back on topic - I've found the F50 to be a hoot on pretty much every Forza game, despite my love of the turbos of the F40 and 288 GTO.

I really wish they brought back the F40 Competizione and the F50 GT from Forza 4, boy how both those cars a thrill to drive.

Damn straight!

Well in real life it is apparently really hard to see out of and never lived up to the hype.

In Forza land it is pretty much the dominate S class car, as well as A class on many tracks.

You can also get a good idea of the vehicle’s capability by renting it in “Free Play” mode and taking it for a spin.

I’ve run mine against Aussie V-8 supercar’s with my buddies and it can chew 'em up and spit 'em out on the right tracks. Quick, sure footed fun.

It is arguably the best car for A and S, so yes. ^ I miss the F50 GT too.

F50 is definitely quicker than the F40. Personally I like them both. I do like the look of the F40 better though.

if you need credits just grab the chevy indy car and throw a good tune on it. set all assists to off/hardest and do 50 laps. once you get thru turn 1 you are already in top gear so even if you use auto transmission normally you only have to upshift till then. you never downshift nor shift at all the rest of the race. even against the hardest drivatars you’ll lap 2nd place twice. brakes? you never use the brakes. the race will pay out 50,000+difficulty bonus+driver level bonuses etc…you should be able to make 200,000 credits in half an hour or about 400,000 an hour. it takes only 5 hours at the rate to buy the most expensive car in fm5. it took me about 2 months to own everything in fm5 (not including dlc). i still dont own everything in fm4. running out of cars to spend credits on was much more of a problem than running out of credits.

Man that’s gotto be boring as all ell.

Might as well just tape the throttle down and put the car on the wall and then go do your laundry.

not really 40. you just have to keep trying to beat you best lap time. its basically hotlapping. you have to play it like golf. then again thats not everybody’s idea of fun either i suppose. but if it gets you the car you really really want…it’ll give you more fun in the long run even if boring for a couple of hours. i only did it when there was a car i wanted to buy. your aren’t restricted to grinding for the rest of your life, you can go back to playing regularly as soon as you get your credits to buy the car you want to play with.

2.5 hours is nothing. to get the most expensive car in fm4 its over 20 hours of grinding. if you want the car…how bad do you want it? if you dont want it bad enough immediately just keep playing the way you always have, you’ll still earn credits and get the credits eventually anyway, it’ll just take longer. i have millions of credits with nothing to spend them on now. grinding is a legal shortcut, its certainly not required. its just a way for the impatient.

I agree with 40 that does sound really boring. I do hotlap, but have never really hotlapped the ovals. The game isnt that hard to make ample cr just from playing the game. I have around $40 million and so many cars i have actually deleted some just because i was sick of taking 5 min to find the car i wanted. The most expensive car in this game is relatively cheap compared to what it was in previous forzas.
