Your best bet is likely to contact HeliosT10.

Your best bet is to return the used unit for a different one.

Not for nothing, but why hasn’t MS ever come up with a system to rectify this? It really isn’t fair to the customer who buys a unit in good faith only to find out that it cannot be used for some or all games. Obviously, a database of flagged units already exists. It shouldn’t be that much of a stretch to have some sort of system where when a unit is sold it is cleared of any flags or bans. I know stores like Best Buy and Gamestop scan the serial number when a unit is traded in. Would it really be that hard to have a system whereby that unit is now free from any former flags? I’ve seen many post of this nature over the years here and elsewhere, and it just isn’t right. For many, a used system is their only option to have a little fun gaming. They shouldn’t be penalized because they can’t afford a brand new unit.

For console bans have a look at this: Xbox Support but normally bans or enforcement is not discussed here. As discussed purchasing a new unit reduces a risk of online games being disabled, which is what is happening here.

They are not going to change how they do it. There would be people using tricks to get the bans removed. Bottom line is you need to either buy a new one or one from a trusted retailer. One that will exchange the unit if there are any problems with a used Xbox.

Yep, that’s the downfalls of buying a new unit obviously to bypass sanctions. Thank you for your response!
