This statement embodies everything that is wrong with FH3. In a game that features cars like the FXXK, LaFerrari, P1, Veyron, Agera, Regera, One:1, and so on, the fastest car in terms of top speed is a 1956 Jaguar.
Wrong? No, it’s great that you can upgrade classic cars and other inconvenient autos into something great. It’s a light car and you can put a lot of power under that hood. This has been a thing since you could swap engines in Forza.
Yeah, I meant fastest as top speed but interesting tidbit about Regera on the Goliath. I’ve been running at 260 with a Viper HE and can get 10:30 at best. I may have to check out the Regera again. I have one with a solid tune but its crazy understeer keeps me from racing in it (a kink I haven’t worked out yet). I’ll cruise in it though.
The Centenario is a car I really like but I won’t spend $2mil on a car. The Hurie and Avie work for me as substitutes. The BL challenge by DJS in a Centenario is pretty awesome but the tune he has on that one seems almost too easy.
I average 9:45 per lap with my Horizon Edition GT. And it has the stock V6TT. But the Viper with the Lambo swap handles like a cruise ship, so I could see how it’d run longer lap times.
The Viper is hindered by a slow revving engine. Too much rotating mass slows down acceleration. It was the first thing I noticed when I drove it. Haven’t used it since.
Best I can do with a Ford GT HE RWD tune is 9:31 but I run with rolling weather conditions. So there’s always rain for a lap or two.
On the fastest sprint is Regera, River Side Drag sprint ( street race rival ).Also on Silver Sands Speedway which might be the second fastest sprint ingame, even on Maroondah dam sprint with several sharp turns Regera win.So Regera is the fastest S998 imo.
I won a GT HE in a wheelspin the other day so I thought about swapping out one for the other on Goliath. I don’t typically put V12’s in cars because I don’t want them all to sound like mopeds with attitudes. Especially, if I like the stock engine’s sound or the car seems unnatural for that engine type (like a 60’s muscle car). I know it can hinder speed some but I race Goliath for the money. That’s really it. I was just curious about the fastest car to date.
The HE edition comes with the v12 already swapped in. I agree it is annoying. One thing I like about FM6 is if you want to tune it. You have to take it online. For the carreer races it has to be stock.
What? How is less choice supposed to be an advantage?
You do realize that nobody is pointing a gun at you forcing you to race fully-upgraded and engine/drivetrain-swapped cars, especially not in campaign where AI cars scale to your PI, right?
I never said that. I just don’t put them in everything (or anything for that matter if I have the choice). Even though I’m new to Forza, I understand why the option exist and I’m glad devs listened to the players. Some of the upper level cars have them by default and that’s fine by me. I own a couple and drive them occasionally. I am all for options and they’re great. Just like with anything else, if I don’t want, I pass it up. Glad it’s there for those who use them but not my thing.
I have never played any other Forza so I don’t have any basis of comparison but that’s an interesting concept. The tuning dynamic in FM6 I mean.
It is also quite curious that a game with such behemoths for cars, a vintage racer is able to achieve a speed that wouldn’t even be possible by a car of that era.
Actually, the 2017 Ford GT featured in FM6 and FH3 does have seven forward gears IF you keep the RWD drivetrain. If you swap for an AWD drivetrain the transmission also changes to a six-speed gearbox.
Sorry, didn’t notice that. I thought every other manufacturer except Ford made seven speeds. All of my RWD/FWD cars have AWD swaps, so I’m used to six speeds.
