Is there a reason the P1 GTR is missing? Its in FM7 and we have its rivals in the vulcan and fxxk in h4. I dont understand why this has missed the cut?
At the time of its release, the 1985 300zx was the most sold sports car in history… It used the first Japanese mass produced V6 engine. The introduction of the Z was the first reliable sports car IN HISTORY; it didn’t break down every couple thousand miles and start leaking oil everywhere.
And yet… It hasn’t made an appearance in Forza titles?
(Assuming it is not a license issue)
Perhaps Camaro and Mustang were deleted to be “an old model”.
When models such as expensive trim or face lift are added in DLC etc., “old” models tend to be removed from the next series.
There are exceptions such as S2000 and RX-7, but these cars are precious patterns that survived because there were many requests from the community.
If we want to revive the old model, we will need to show that will in the community’s wish list etc.
And this is a guess, but Volvo P1800, Plymouth GTX, and Dodge Super Bee could become exclusive cars for the future Forzathon Shop.
2003 Ford Focus
My understanding of this car being in game was that the majority of people in previous games didn’t like the fact the british RS model was not available because as we know we had the 2003 SVT Focus prior to this, my main question is on the bodykits, turn10/pg or whoever was responsible for going through all that trouble to get genuine ford rally body kits licensed and modelled onto the SVT focus basically wasted there time as we dont have these same body kits on the “RS” model which literally means “rally sport” uderstandable if they couldn’t get the licensing but would there be any other reason for this? Car wise im pretty sure the only reason people wanted the RS was because it had smaller nicer (imo) bumpers and nicer “RS” wheels but as a whole i myself would rather have the SVT if it means we could have the body kits back? This is by no means a wish a list as above i dont know why the WRC kits aren’t available on this version and simply wondering why perhaps ? Could just be a simple reason of no one has mentioned it so why bother maybe?
Okay let me start this by saying whenever I have a problem with game decisions or there’s just something I don’t like in a game, I never post it in the forums unless it comes up in conversation. I use them for help and to inform of performance problems. I just feel like everyone is always complaining about something, so unless it’s major problem there really isn’t a need for it.
Now with this new expansion i wanted to make it a surprise for me as to what it included so other than the first trailer I didn’t watch or read anything about it. I didn’t want to know what cars were in it and I didn’t want to see details of the island until I played. So when I finally saw the cars I was quite upset.
Four cars have already either been in game or we have pretty much the same thing.
-fiesta rx43is pretty much theexact thing as the grc fiesta with a couple minor cosmetic differences.
-urus is already in game so the only thing different is the bumpers.
-aventador j was in horizon one.
-koenigsegg was in Forza 1-4.
Okay so in previous Forza games I have never been upset with packs because I know they have to cater to all players of the game. So if I didn’t like a car here and there it wasn’t a big deal to me. But this time the cars are just reused from old titles, they are the exact same thing as something in game but with a convertible roof, or something small has changed.
-triumph tr3b was in Forza 4
-The rx7 spirit r was in Forza 2,3, and,4
-The Porsche 356a is the same as the speedster we have
-the i8 we have it’s just a convertible
-the mustang deberti is a wide body 2018 mustang
-gallardo was in horizon 1
-the hoonigan escort is an escort with a different livery
-Vauxhall insignia was in Forza 3 and 4
-Vauxhall vx220 was in Forza 1-4
-the 650s is just a convertible in which we can’t even use the convertible part
-Ferrari fxx was in Forza 2-4 and horizon 1
-the s2000 was in all Forza 1-4 (I do welcome the wide body though)
(I could include the prodrive 959 but I feel like that is completely different from the regular 959.)
That is a total of 16 cars that we paid extra for that was just reused from old titles or is the same thing as something in game but just something small is different like convertible top or livery change. This is just plan laziness or cheapness. Now I know you had to do some rendering because old games didn’t have Forza vista. But why should we pay extra because you added a new feature and old cars didn’t have the engines rendered. There are countless other cars from old games that you simply just can’t open the hood. I mean at least add some new, more modern, customization options. A lot of these could have been used for Forzathons or the seasonal race rewards.
So what do you guys think? Are you okay with them reusing these cars or not?
I’m not happy with it and island itself is not that big. But in previous games whe paid for the expansion extra, who are now included in the ultimate version. Then you have 100 more cars in the standard version.
The carpass cars are in general a huge disappointment. I mean a old insignia…Lool. Have Opel not since then new models.
Maybe they have this time not the budget for licensing or the car manufacturers want to much money.
I can now count cars from the 70s or 80s which are a must in a English car game. In special from Ford and British Leyland. But then it would be a wish list. Even the music is not the best. Where the famous English Songs from punk. New wave or 80 pop or 90s britpop. Nothing…and the expansion brings no new music.
Even the rivals are not more really a feature of the game.
Garagelimit…They say you freedom everywhere. But in reality the game is more like a instant coffee.
I’ve merged HHaWkEYe STI 069’s thread “Reusing old content for new paid content” here because it touches on topics already discussed here. Please read through the first post.
On cars that are “pretty much the same thing” as other cars in the game:
Hardtops and convertibles or other trim variants, and even livery variants, are different cars for the purpose of licensing.
On cars that are exactly the same (FXX) as in previous games:
There is no such thing as “reusing” a model via simple port. Previously seen cars, even in the same console generation, require production costs to add to this game along with new licensing. Consider too the fact that everyone pays again when they buy a new Forza game even though the car list largely overlaps previous games. Players pay new money because developers pay new money. In the broader view, it’s just whatever the mix is in terms of base game vs. add-on. It’s all paid content.
‘They’re saving existing cars to charge us DLC money.’
Again, no, read the first post.
On the specific point of how to pick which cars will be in the Car Pass:
Referring again to the first post, some of this just comes down to when T10 can get the car prepped for the game. The rest is just your opinion competing with or overlapping opinions held by the millions of other players, many of whom want the previous Forza cars in this game and view the overall cost as acceptable. We have the Car Wishlist for that purpose. Playground and Turn 10 have requested that feedback be sent through the new Support site, so if you have an opinion about which cars should be in add-ons and which should be added for free, submit a ticket with your feedback.
