Sad to see the Honda S800 in Horizon 3 but not 4, such a gorgeous car

We all know Toyota/Lexus/Scion backed out of Horizon 4 at first and their cars didn’t appear in the game due to copyright issues. However, all of these below cars have not appeared in Forza Horizon 4, despite their respective manufactures show up in the game. Seriously, where are these cars? Here’s (almost, probably missed a few) all the cars that have gone missing despite copyright licenses being held across games. I’d guess these cars wouldn’t be hard to port in the current game with all the modeling being finished, why not have a massive Autoshow update and add these bois?

One of the three cars added with Series 20 is the 1933 Napier-Railton, which was described during gameplay in the Update 20 livestream.
This car has only been mentioned once in the Car Wishlists thread, or in dev terms: the community “didn’t know how much they wanted it.” So one could ask, “Why this car instead of more requested models?” Playground’s developers covered a set of factors that could easily apply to other models of interest:
- rarity (one of one)
- unique build (W12 airplane-based engine with three exhausts, no front brakes, no reverse gear)
- historic/superlative relevance (record lap time at Brooklands oval circuit)
- British (fitting the environment of FH4)
- available (based at Brooklands, appeared at Goodwood Festival of Speed)
- variety:
During the Q&A session they answered the ‘why’ with: “It’s also incumbent on us to go and try to find those cool, lesser-known cars. It’s car culture. In one of the weird versions of the past it was going to be one of the cars that you would drive at the start of the game. In the start of the game where you drive through all four seasons, the last drive that you do in the McLaren Senna was going to be the Napier-Railton for a bit.” “It’s also a slightly under-represented part of car culture, that pre-war start of cars. It’s always good to have variety.”
I wish they’d be able to add all the cars from previous games, copyright sucks
There would also be too many cars as well
Garage spaces are limited due to cloud file limits
Hi , just a simple question, why Forza never put inside the game cars like , Skoda , Golf 5 GTI is missing aswell , and a lot of cars?

Why do Motorsport and Horizon have different car rosters?
Kinda sucks seeing a vehicle I have on my literal car wishlist be only drivable in Motorsport. Someone who favors Motorsport must be seeing Horizon exclusive cars and be thinking the same thing. Why are the car rosters different? Sure, they share majority of the cars but there’s quite a few Motorsport cars i’d love to try like the Subaru 360 or A-R Montreal…
Seriously, while new cars are welcome editions, I think we should focus on bringing back cars that went missing, as well as joining Motorsport’s and Horizon’s car rosters closer together. Subaru is an excellent example, so many Subaru brand cars went missing between Horizon 3 & 4 despite no known licensing issues. What happened to the SVX, #75 Rally WRC and the Brat?
Well they are different games, really. Motorsport was about having a bajillion cars on a relatively small number of tracks. Horizion is about having a ginormous ‘everywhere is your track’ world with a still huge but not as huge selection of cars to race upon it, and you keep people coming back to either game by either releasing more tracks or releasing more cars, or both.
Rights to use the cars and other IP like logos and brand names for each game and each series are negotiated individually with the manufacturers.
There are flip sides to every argument - the last couple of motorsport games has seen complaints about cars that make sense in Horizon being included in the Motorsport series.
You can’t win them all.
There are costs involved in licencing between games, so whilst it may be easy to port the graphic model between games - as others have said, licencing/ branding IP’s whatever all add up - they also no doubt will have stats available to them, which might tell them how popular a particular car model is. How often it’s used/ raced whatever - bearing in mind the costs involved in porting it and new models releasing all the time, some will make the cut and others will fall by the wayside, to allow the 2020 version of another vehicle to come in.
Just wondering why there isn’t Tesla’s in the new Forza games. It was a lot of fun having them and I miss them a lot, if they don’t appear in Forza Horizon 4 in the next couple of updates will there be Teslas in the new motorsport and horizon games?
Turn 10 studios my favorite car in all of Forza was the radical sr8 it was in forza Horizon 1 and boy do I miss that car I was just wondering what happened to it can you put it forza Horizon 4 as a dlc or with a new update or something. I really am just wondering why the radical rxc turbo is in forza horizon 4 but not the radical sr8
hey I just found this forum and I was thinking about playing motorsport 7 and I thought about the most fun cars I bought in the game and one was the infiniti g25 and I wanna be able to drift it around in horizon 4 but I can’t and I’m sure someone out there might very thoight about this stuff and or cat maybe being added?
Going back over some older articles I came across this interview with Dan Greenawalt (and Brian Ekberg before he worked for Turn 10) from 2007. It would be intriguing to know the 1000 models they had in mind before production.

The Remastered version of Need for Speed got announced and this game included The Apollo S. As far as i know they needed new licenses for this remastered. Could this be a Possible chance that the Apollo could find its way back to forza?
