Hi does anyone know if this wheel will work?
If I configure it manually I can play but I only have to turn the wheel a few degrees for the game to see full lock.
If I select one of the Fanatec wheels it wont work at all and to make maters worse you cant exit to the menu as no buttons or keys work and I need to close the whole game.
Need to know if the game will support this wheel before I buy.
Managed to get it working.
Sensitivity must be set at off for some reason but will then will give near 1-1 control though wheel has no limit stops when wheel is fully rotated in game
I can confirm that PS3 mode works on PC as G25. You dont have to uninstall the fanatec driver if do the following: Plug in the wheel’s USB cable in any device without a fanatec driver (I do it with my tablet, which has an USB slot). There you can enter PS3 mode. Unplug it, dont turn off the wheel and plug it into your PC. It will be recognized as logitech wheel even if the fanatec driver is installed.
Andy, did you really get that wheel on PC working when changing sensitivity?
I think it’s a shame that the PWTS isnt supported properly. I got it for Forza Motorsport 3 back then. They did a lot of advertising with FM3 and I still have this wheel here, intact and working properly. How about continuing to support your once oh so recommended wheel, turn10/MS?!
Force Feedback in G25 mode with my wheel is a joke. Recently I played some old games again and FF was way better with games like FM3, Dirt 3, GTR2, F1 2010/2011 and so on.
I just happened onto one of the other threads about FFB wheels and they mentioned a product called Drive Hub which is a USB based adaptor/interface that will allow all the old Fanatec wheels to be used with Xbox 1 and PS4 also i believe. It allows the use of some Fanatec features not currently available on the Xbox 1. Google CronusMax Drive Hub.
It works the same way, like the original PWTS worked with the PS3. The PWTS emulated a G25 when put in PS3-Mode.
The DriveHub emulates a Logitech G29 (PS4) or Logitech G920 (XB1) for every ‘supported’ wheel.
In PS3- or PC-Mode it emulates a Logitech G27.
With the PWTS it uses the PWTS-PC-Mode. After connecting everything correct, the wheel is seen as above mentioned Logitech model. Ingame everything is like with the Logitech wheel and you remap keys, etc.
On the hardware site it even puts the PWTS in the correct mode (XB360 for XB1 or PS3 for PS4) and illuminates the keys for the correct system
(PWTS-Users will know what I’m talking about).
PLUS: For old Fanatec wheels it supports 3 different FFB-Modes (see details on the website).
I own the DriveHub since the release this fall (2017).
Until know I tested the DriveHub for a short time on FM7 @XB1 + @XB1X and even with the standard settings it is … very good.
Most of the time I use my PWTS with GT Sport @PS4pro and OMG it is … SUPERB !!!
I haven’t updated on the latest driver yet. Will test this in the next days.
If anybody has more questions just post here, or send ma a PM.
!!! I don’t work for CollectiveMinds or ChronusMax. This is no promotion, just a user review !!!
I’m just a guy with an old Fanatec wheel.
edit:
@Mods … if this content is not allowed please delete. I was thinking about writing a review in detail, since I use this device, but wasn’t sure if this is allowed. Maybe someone can answer this per PM.
